Drop a few hook sizes. And fish one rod in close. Be surprised about the number of coalies and dabs next to the pier. I've caught mackerel on the bottom in December there as well.

Are the ports all around Ireland good at this time of year? I could go and try Clougherhead. I have frozen Hake that i could try with a ledger.

Great match fishing skills there young fella, loved the way you had traces set up to change over from ones with the fish on. Unusual location with salting behind you. The flounder was a decent size too. Hope mammy and daddy proud of uou

Fished minard when we came over in September very poor but fishing the whole peninsula was pretty dire to be fair which side do you fish left or right side of minard , would like to see you try stradbally or fermoyle
