The worst update for the money on a camaro is any aftermarket cold air intakes. Best mod for the money is flex fuel kit with tune and drop in green filter.

Great review, ive owned both in the past (supercharged 98 TA, C5 Z06) and was in the market for a C6 Z06, which got me looking into both the C7 Z51 and ZL1 1LE and, plot twist, Camaro ZL1 insurance is $300 a month (46, clean record) whereas its $180 a month for the C7 because of the high rate of theft (SF Bay Area, CA wide) So when you see these retards doing side shows, remember those are stolen cars that will be parted out, thank them and our corrupt WEF puppet politicians for destroying this hobby as now noone can afford to insure these vehicles. Another thing you left out, C7 gets 30mpg on the highway. My viewpoint is, having owned both, unless you need a back-seat and the 300 lbs of additional chassis size that comes with it, just get a Vette. Also, C7's received great reknown for their handling, offering a chassis some 60% stiffer than the C6, have a removable targa top, are only 60 lbs heavier in vert form (Camaro convertible is like 150 lbs heavier IIRC) C7's are 49/51 weight distrubution. I love the Camaro but in the end you must factor in the fuel economy difference. C7 Z51 does 30 MPG on the highway, i think the Camaro SS 1LE does 24 mpg hwy? Good point about the torque tube failure!

Please don’t put the ZL1 bumper, I own a 2SS 1LE as well. I think the 19 an up bumper for the SS looks good. No need to swap it out.

I drove a Z06 and a 2ss Camaro the 2ss is more fun on the road because u get more time and fun enjoying getting up to speed. The Corvette gets up to speed way quicker and you don't enjoy it. It's like living life in a flash and not enjoying the journey

Excellent advice, I got them all. I don't know if your gonna get 50Hp out of an E kit, not on a NA car anyway. Supercharged perhaps but on a NA car I'd say 20 to 25HP is probably about right. I've had the LT2 and currently running the MSD. The MSD is WAY better up in the higher RPM band but won't really shine until you get a cam. That said stock cam and heads with a MSD is still gonna outperform an LT2 by quite a bit. The LT2 is still a hell of a bargain for the price I will not knock that. CATCH CAN IS REAL!

I had a 2018 SS 1LE, a 2019 ZL1 1LE, and a 2019 C7 Z06. The Camaro’s were significantly better handling cars out of the box and inspired much more confidence than the Z06. While I miss all of these cars greatly, I think the SS 1LE will go down as one of my all-time favorites. Although I am heavily considering a C7 Grand Sport or a C6 Z06 to get back into the Corvette platform but, if that doesn’t work out, there’s a strong chance I’ll end up with another SS 1LE. I think a lot of people downplay them because they feel like the Corvette is inherently superior when it is in fact only superior in weight and weight distribution. The Alpha chassis from the Camaro just simply out-classes the Corvette. Equal weight and drivers, I give it to the Camaro every time.

I think my vette was noticeably more “snappy” and responsive with power but my Camaro is soooo much nicer of a ride. It’s like riding a race car vs a Cadillac
