once you give away the appliances/furniture - we contact an estate sale company, they come in, take pictures post for online auctions an take care of pickup. Usually charge 25% - 30% of proceeds

these houses are being filled with cheap crap from china. all the materials are flimsy, made of vinyl, and if real wood is used, its compressed wood no thicker than 1/4". They buy houses, throw 50 grand at them, and sell them for 250k more, making them unnaffordable for the working class. Your "30 year mortgage" is a lease on chinese vinyl.

Not everyone likes "open it up". I guess I am a traditionalist because I love a house the way it was originally and appreciate it for how it was designed at that moment! I get very stressed out in open plans. I love walls and smaller rooms. I enjoyed seeing the old wiring.

There is an abandoned grocery store near me if one doesn’t have a ton of funds how could they try to do what you did.
