I think the final piece turned out quite cool! And the way you used the acrylic markers on the background is genius, even if it warped the paper I think it created a really neat effect! This is the type of experimentation that leads to seriously awesome things, even if it doesn't always end up as you'd hoped. 😊❤

Don't be so hard on yourself. You did way more with these markers than I thought possible! Have you tried them on different paper?

Thank you! It really comes down to it just not living up to the image I had in my head haha I didnt use a different paper, but Im sure it would have helped :D I just rly wanna use whats in the box, a bit stubborn I suppose xD

I bought this box when it was on sale specifically for the pastel Derwent because it was the cheapest way to get them. I absolutely love, love love using them. But, yes, you have to do multiple layers of colors and use them on good watercolor paper. My jelly roll sucked too, lol.

Oooh the cheapest way, that's very interesting, you really do get your money's worth in these boxes :D So these pastels are your favorite art supply? Do they get the same strange texture on good watercolour paper? I did quite enjoy them once I got used to them, and my friend loved them! And Im so glad Im not the only one struggling with those frickin jellyrolls T_T

I think it's super cool how you layered and worked with these paint pens, I think the final result is super styalized and interesting! I'm planning on painting the cover of one of my sketchbooks with posca pens soon and I'm sure that's why yt recommended your video, but I'm so glad it did, happy to have discovered your channel! I like the music you chose too... very chill vibes 😌🙂
