I love my Chacos, but they are way too heavy for packing light. I keep them at home for kayaking. Actually, the Time & Tru sport sandals from Walmart are super light and grippy. Not sure of the quality yet...

I have excellent footwear for travel

I almost always take a red item. I dress mostly in black and white (and sometimes grey) so red is a great way to alleviate that when I'm getting sick of my wardrobe. Also, red is great for travelling during Christmas period. I'm also moving more towards those extremely lightweight button down shirts due to the versatility

I like to use those memory foam pillows with a bump to support the neck. I bought one and cut it to the width of my head only (I'm a side sleeper, so measuring from back of head to nose, plus an inch: 10"). I shove it in a gallon ziplock to compress it. Takes up about 6 cubic inches.

I have found an osprey ported backpack and it weighs 1.2kgs I have saved 1.6kgs on my roller bag Also in one of your videos where it was devoted to Eileen Fisher I took note and bought 6 items all in black, silk secondhand and two new items for under AUD $150 absolute bargain. I thank you your insights they invaluable. Just wanted to mention I have swapped merino for silk for travel as silk is breathable , light perfect for layering j find that when my items may be a little wrinkled after wearing it the wrinkles go away with body heat. I mix my black pieces up with animal prints , and pops of colours. I still live merino but only take merino socks , one pair of leggings to wear Under my silk items if it gets cold and a merino buff and hat. Also I weigh items and write the weight on the tag. I love all your videos so thank you and well done 🍀🌈❤️

I just got back from 2 weeks in Tuscany (first part of Oct) it rained about half the time. I brought 2 sweaters and a light rain jacket…but I really wished I brought my travel puffy jacket. Once it starts raining in 50 degree weather I got cold. I’ll know better next time no matter what.

I crotchet cuz I can’t sit still butt I have a drawing tablet and pencils and it’ll be a great way to find a common thread with my artistic DIL when I travel this week! I’m an introvert yet having strangers visit with you over a common thread can be fun and fulfilling also love the pack few days prior.
