You are not. According to your comment likely will never be. You just do not understand it after 2 months. This is pretty common.
@johnurban7333Күн бұрын
@ThePickleballPirates I respectfully disagree as I've played this way many times. Only thing different is we don't hit the net or out of bounds as quickly as these guys do. Our volleys last longer and get more intense.
@ThePickleballPiratesКүн бұрын
You can disagree as much as you want, but these are pro level players (not top pro, but still). And the very fact that you see yourself about the same level clearly shows that you just do not understand it, which is again very common among beginners like you. Even for pro tennis players it usually takes about a year to get to this level. You play this way only in your head (as many people do). Record yourself on video and watch. That would be very eye-opening experience, we promise. If you still respectfully disagree, please just publish your play video as a proof. Otherwise this is a keyboard competition :)

@@ThePickleballPirates Thank you for responding. I actually think it is great that people are getting on the PB court. Because of back and hip issues I have gone from being able to hit with Futures players to just kind of teaching and not playing much. Is pickleball actually harder on the hips and backs since the ball does not bounce very high. The smaller court is great but it looks like it could be harder on the body with all the bending to get low balls. Not sure any court sport is good for bad hips and backs. Your thoughts?
@ThePickleballPirates2 күн бұрын
It all depends on the level you play at. At lower levels it does not put much strain on your body compared to other racket sports provided you play doubles only. At advanced level it is as every other sport, not as bad as tennis for your back, but still. The main difference is it requires a lot of lateral movement rather running. Watch senior pros playing to get an idea.

If you think so, you are most likely unrated beginner who would be pickled by these players. Many beginner think for some reason, than they play just slightly worse than Ben Johns. Recording yourself on video and watching helps a lot.
@lovingyou23013 күн бұрын
So I would get pickled by these guys that keep hitting their 3rd shot drop in the net? I don’t think so. What is your email? I can send you some games from tomorrows 4.5+ tournament that I’m in.

This is my favorite paddle. I used one for a year then bought another prodrive drive. When you hit a shot hard, the Kevlar kicks in and comes off like a bullet. It sounds like a metal plate and you can hear the power. In addition, this paddle is heavy and terrific in returning hard serves and hard drives. It returns them solid with little twisting. I also used a Joola Scorpius but this is far superior.

This isn’t actually a “gen 3” paddle, it’s just the third gen of Hudef paddles. But anyone watching this, realize that this is the epitome of a Gen 2 paddle. Thermoformed unibody with edge foam injection. It’s not doing anything like the Joola gen 3s, the Gearbox, the Vatic Pro Oni, the Ronbus Ripple, the Coretek, or any other true Gen 3s.

@@ThePickleballPirates lots of paddles are legal. That doesn’t make them Gen 3. I get that it’s legal. That’s great. But calling it a “100% legal gen 3 paddle” will definitely mislead some people. They might think they’re getting a gen 3 paddle that doesn’t have the legality issues that the Joola Gen 3s had. When they’ll actually just be getting a Gen 2 paddle.
