Sorry brother, no Diocese was founded in Kollam in the year 1319. The history is that the Catholic church initiated vigorous Evangalical activity by the beginning of 14 th century. The activities were mainly meant for evangalising Ceylon and China. Quilon was just a stopover and hardly had any followers here. But they couldn't continue their mission as a major political event happened. The Mongolian dictator Timur captured the whole of west Asia and blocked all missionary activity to the East. So the mission had to be disbanded. If there was an uninterrupted mission activity, the history of Kollam , Ceylon amf China would have been different.
