This episode is a great reminder of the timeless value of good customer service! It's so easy to get caught up in the latest trends in customer experience, but at the heart of it all, it's the genuine service that makes a lasting impact.

I'm not happy stay in Ritz Carlton last week in Ritz Carlton Hotel Toronto.. I added $350 to upgrade get to club lounge..but my experience is disappointing and before check out I invite my friend drop in for a coffee and fruit ..they charge me extra $200 for that one hour last access..I entitle 2 person from my hotel room booking to access ..now he is the guest together 2 access why they charge me extra $200 ..then is total $550 to access the club lounge ..plus Hotel room one night bill me $1500 Never ever again I stay in Ritz Carlton Hotel Toronto. Nothing impress me ..snack is so old not fresh ..services soso ..many evil eye check on you when you gets in not comfortable stress environment and pay high price ..I'm so stupid with high expectations

Appreciate you sharing your experience. You are right to have high expectations based on their reputation and pricing, and I encourage you to reach out to the company. RC is a large organization and will certainly not always live up to its own values every time. All the best.

I’d rather someone do anything they like no matter how negative which has happened with me in the past I’m strong and can handle everything well so it doesn’t really affect me however reporting it to the manager sounds dangerous (horrible) to me for whatever reason 😢but these tips are great pretty much regardless of the situation I think. they are greatly appreciated thank you ❤friend

Thank you so much! This is always a challenging topic because of the potential for escalation. Everyone's individual context is incredibly important in using (or not using) these ideas. Glad you found value in them!

Thank you! Multiple times this week I've been threatened at my insurance call center job by customers who will "report us to the insurance commissioner" "take us to small claims court" and "contact the media" as well as demanding a supervisor. Usually it's not this bad so I needed some extra tips. I appreciate the advice on how to respond, and esp the acknowledgement that all threats affect us on a visceral and emotional level. I do try to avoid taking it personally (mentally) but emotionally it still affects me somewhat. I'm just not the kind of person that would throw a fit at a random stranger and don't understand how others can do so.
@Customersthatstick2 жыл бұрын
Hi Em, I'm so glad the content was helpful. It can be truly difficult to receive these threats, particularly multiple times in a day or a week. It is great that you are looking for solutions and taking action! It's a challenge to depersonalize in the moment, but we just have to remember, it's rarely about us. Thanks for sharing! Stay strong.

Very Insightful 🌟 Sir what's ur take on someone who is inexperienced engineer solopreneur initially to attract clients when all clients want is a person with 2-3 yrs of experience in handling the projects but market is not ready to accept fresher candidates but demand too much ? Is being a generalist a good idea or is it creating the unique value which is important in such a situation.. how can a solopreneur create space for himself in the early days without wasting time...
@Customersthatstick2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohib, It is challenging to answer this without the full context, but generally, I would say that there is no substitute for experience. If you are at the beginning of your career, you might want to investigate collaborating in some form or other with someone who has experience (helping their company, interning, part-time work). Getting better at what you want to do is always a good use of time. Best of luck!
