Do you know weight of the stock exhaust from catalyser ?
@TassieLorenzo27 күн бұрын
I can weigh it for you if you like! It's not very heavy. It's relatively thin wall, about 0.8-1.2mm (apart from the double layer muffler), and even the exhaust hangers use hollow tubing.

@@TassieLorenzoreally appreciated if you can do this. Thanks in advance ! I m looking for toda or titan exhaust depending of what i can save in lbs /kg. And not easy to find the reliable information regarding the oem

@@MA-ed3wl Sorry about the delay, the stock exhaust system weight is approximately: Mid-pipe (B-section): 6.1 kg Rear muffler main section: 13.0 kg Rear right-hand-side tail pipe: 1.5 kg Rear muffler section (total): 14.5 kg Total: 20.6 kg
@TassieLorenzo2 күн бұрын
@@MA-ed3wl I had a look on RHD Japan . com and it looks the systems with the same design as stock weigh nearly the same (about 18.5kg), but some of the single exit systems are around 12.7 kg (less for titanium versions?). My measurement includes the three spring bolts for the rear muffler. Fujitsubo say the weight of the stock system is 18.9kg, but my system is used so maybe it has some soot and dirt built up that adds weight I dunno (also I'm using bathroom scales that may not be that accurate). If you were sticking with 60mm, you could probably get most of the weight benefit just from changing the rear muffler. The stock mid-pipe is pretty light and is already 60mm. I see that the full J's Racing 60mm single-exit titanium system (1mm thick tube only!) is said to be half the weight of stock, which I guess means about 9.5kg? Going to 70mm would certainly save weight and unlock some power!

It needs to be pointed that drifting an awd like that is insanely difficult, especially on a totally stock setup. He casually heel toe downshifts into the drifts, which are a perfect idea for rwd drifting but would normally throw an awd into severe understeer, but he so expertly manipulates throttle, weight and steering that none of that matters

No better era in my opinion for Australian touring car racing, Johnson -ingall -seto -larko-morris-skaife-perkins-bowe , the list is endless , these blokes brought personality to the already great spectacle, you can shove the gen 3 super sedan cup were the sun don't shine as we've simply lost the magic !
@thesausage3517 ай бұрын
And the thing was, you would legitimately have 20 drivers who could win. Johnson, Radisich, Seton, Skaife, Ingall, Perkins, Murphy, Ambrose, Bowe, Clowndes, Brad Jones, Brighty, all those guys were race winners, from all different teams and both manufacturers. Now, there’s what, 6? drivers with a real chance of winning? I used to watch every single round from when I was about 8 through to now, and im 45 now, and I barely watch Gen 3 because they’re just not interesting to me, and Skaife is so far up RBR ass it’s just painful to listen to.

Most hated the A.U.s as of their rounded (aerodynamic) design. Rumour has it their aero was hobbled as they were too aero dynamic. I drive a 99 manual tickford ute... 170,000. Ks .. , had an au as a company car. Left ELs in the dust round corners... now, i love big SUVs that tailgate me thru corners... some panic brake, some break rims on kerbs.... i like it, gets 96yo mum and wheelchair to appointments... and a bit of fun if feeling vindictive.
