This thing is garbage! You can take the powder in the machine and pour it into a cup of hot water to produce the same result. Not to mention it's a pain to clean and the people who change their mind end up pouring the flavor they didn't want into the crappy little grate and end up spilling it all over the place. 0 out of 10!

The sizes are completely customizable. With the G4 controls you dictate the exact water volume and temperature that you want as well as when the brewer pulses that water. We have many wholesale accounts using this brewer to make wonderful Chemexes!

Are you limited to the 20, 16, and 12 oz sizes? Or can you customize the volume? Lets say you want to put a 10 cup Chemex under the brewer and brew a full pot. Possible?

Hi Sandy! Thanks for your thoughts. Internally, the water does not touch any plastic. The brewcones themselves are plastic, but do not impart any "plasticky" taste and definitely no toxins. It is the same chemical make up that we have been using and refining for years for use in our brewcones. At this point there are no plans for a consumer version of this brewer.

This looks interesting! With the Gold Cup Brewer, does water or steam come in contact with any plastic during the brewing cycle? I use the Chemex to avoid both plastic taste and toxins in my family's coffee, but would love to have a system to speed up the hand pouring process, especially with larger pots of coffee. Consider making a plastic-free interior consumer/retail model. Just a quick search of the internet shows a convenient way to make great, plastic-free coffee would really sell!
