but eyes always need to move individually!! 😅 how else do you make weird eye movements with a MaxMSP breakcore glitch patch at 180 bpm

Instead of inner tube rubber for the back of the hand, try 3d printing some tpu for that instead.

On the spring in the thumb, try putting the spring inside a tube instead of around a post. The aspect ratio of the post to the hole that keeps it straight is not right. A tube can slide around a post that is the diameter of the spring. Then the diameter is big enough compared to the tolerance etc. that it will be much less likely to bind when moving. This is a great design so far! I want to see how it develops. I think you have one of the better designs among the bunch I have seen recently. I am thinking about making a robotic arm and I'm trying to figure out how complicated of an arm I want to make. Thanks for making this video.

Onshape is really good but I wish they would add movement simulation for testing the collisions etc. before printing out the product and noticing that there is huge problems with the design. Also they need to redo whole IOS versio from ground up. Controlling in the 3D-space is horrible and everything is very unaccurate and hard to move in small increments. App also is really slow compared to way more complicated 3D-modelling/sculpting apps. Even the newest iPad have problems to keep up sometimes while other apps work butter smooth.

Oh no love, great informative video. You are amazing! Side note . ... . "Different ways to skin a.. " 😮 . . . .consider maybe, take note ??, .. . .to not use that saying ever again! Smh 😂 no hate just . . .eww in my brain i guess. . had me stop watching just to comment this . which I maybe have commented on 2 videos ever in my whole youtube videos relationship (I'm older than google by a decade). Keep up the great work, thank you for all you do. You inspire me to learn more about animatronics and I now need a 3d printer! 😂

imagine a bag with a drawstring that can open and close it. Something like this can be turned into cloth lips that can open and close with 6 pulleys. imagine the bag has 2 draw strings that pass by each other and exit holes on both sides, which can close the mouth when pulled, but if you add 2 more strings to the corners of the mouth, you can pull it open, towards the cheek bone for a smile or towards the jaw for a frown. You can coat the cloth in silicone rubber, or just print a face design on it like it was a T shirt.

the animatronic can never really see you because the eyes are just painted plastic and not a web camera or other type of visibility input

Ngl if u and some other ytbers decide to collaborate I think you would be able to make a commercial robot and sell that company for billions (just a business idea)

That is nice work. The jaw hinge is too far up. I would flip the servos and pivot at that point.

Will the casted eyes still work with this build? I noticed they do not have the same connections as the eye included and I would rather have the Casted eyes, they look much better.

ok, this is amazing work! I am a super newbie at making any kind of animatronics and just decided to give this go , but i would like to have this run on batteries and maybe programmed to work with infra red or some kind of movement tracking free of me having to manually control it, if anyone has any direction they can point me to assist me in accomplishing this?

Don't let the valley change your path. I think... you don't have to make it all real. What I mean is a superhero sometimes wears a mask. This hides some areas of the face. I think what you've done so far is incredible! I'd aim for a cyborg and build on that. Latex can be tricky Lycra fabric is flexible and white with color lights behind might look cool and original. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. FANTASTIC!
