I was thinking to do a zombie eas in chicago! 😅 but im having trouble making one.

I realize that this is over 3 years old, but there’s lessons to be learned from this for anyone wanting to make EAS content. 1. Reread dialogue before committing to it. Try saying the lines out loud to yourself in private, if possible. You’ll notice what doesn’t sound right a lot better. 2. RESEARCH. Get info from others with knowledge of the subject matter (emergency services, the SCP Foundation, etc.). If you can’t, work with what you know, but don’t make guesses if you have any doubts about them. 3. Consider how organizations respond to certain emergencies. Does it seem logical? Has there been a chain of events to support the choice to escalate? Why do I say this? 1. Foundation sites typically are NOT built under population centers, especially when the site in question is SITE-FREAKING-19. 2. In the event of a containment breach, NO FOUNDATION EMPLOYEES WILL EVER REFER TO SCIPS BY SCP NUMBERS. 3. MSM, government perspectives, and EAS messages alone don’t provide enough of a picture to be truly interesting. Take notes on the approaches used by EAStubers like EAceS and get a feel for how they portray the average citizen in the scenario. 5. Know where to start and when to end. Starting an SCP scenario with Siren Head, then moving onto SCP stuff, then… The Last of Us? The Walking Dead? World War Z? (Was that supposed to be SCP-008?) And then back to SCP with SCP-001 When Day Breaks? It’s confusing! 6. SET A STORYLINE. Don’t just throw stuff in and see what sticks unless you want to make a parody. 7. Audio editing is key. Check out tutorials on how to use it to not only to protect headphone users, but also influence one’s perception of story events. 8. Don’t play dubstep in EAS videos. For the love of God, please don’t. 9. IF THE SCENARIO ISN’T SERIOUS, BE UPFRONT WITH YOUR AUDIENCE. Tell them it’s meant to be funny. Otherwise, there’s a good chance they’ll assume it’s serious and think you’re, erm… not very good.
