Cool but this is a 2 minute toolpath draw up and you can array an entire set of them on a real CNC and go work on another project while it’s cutting them out.

I'm literally going out to use an Amana 1/8" point roundover right now, as I have to replicate a curved window casing.

Point roundover bits are amazing tools! This point roundover bit allowed me to get a larger roundover on this tray than I would have been able to accomplish using traditional roundover bits on a router table due to the height of the tray. To do this I set the bit up as an 18 degree v-bit in the Vectric software and cut a profile on the inside and outside of the line to the depth of the point roundover bit. I've tried setting this up as a form tool, but can't seem to get it to cut correctly, this method has worked for me every time though! Because the edge of the tray is already broken, I can also use an upcut bit for the outside profile for better chip evacuation and a cleaner side wall finish without worrying about chipping out the top surface of the tray. Check out the tools used on our website - Amana Tool 3/16" radius Point Roundover bit - toolstoday.com/v-11511-56126.html RPM: 18,000 Feed Rate: 60ipm Plunge Rate: 30ipm Depth of Cut: .18" Amana Tool 1/2" diameter 1/8" radius Bowl Bit - toolstoday.com/v-5661-45981.html Amana Tool 1/4" Upcut Bit - toolstoday.com/v-13780-46315-k.html i2R W.42 CNC machine - toolstoday.com/i2r-cnc-i2rw42-w-42-4-x-2-cnc-machine.html AirWeights Complete 24"x48" vacuum workholding - toolstoday.com/airweights-complete-system-24-x-48-vacuum-table-workholding-system.html

I was hooked in watching the short and had to find the full video. Awesome! I picked up several tips like switching the JessEm guides around on the table saw fence with using it for the router table, GREAT idea!. Also love the way that it fits snuggly over the current bench top, no clamping needed to hold it secure. Didn't pick that up until I watched this video.

Why not directly put the pad on the adapted collet and set the just right amount of pressure with Z height? If the job is just to remove the flattening marks the slab should already by "flat” ..??

I always wondered why solid shank cnc router tools have that color, is it a coating or a result of heat treatment?

If I ever get a router table, this would be it because it’s safe. Well safer than the others I have seen. I think I’m traumatized by all these videos of pieces flying into the operators and all I can think of is it happening to one of my sons….. but good joining by the way!

For that price, why don't I just buy an actual drill press instead of this overpriced gizmo? I could buy a decent quality plrtable minipress for the price of this jig no joke. Nice as it is a serious wood worker will have better options than on this nifty toy.
@ToolsToday
@ToolsToday 3 күн бұрын
Because most drill presses wouldn't be much help trying to drill a hole in the center of a 30" wide top that weighs 150lbs. Drilling these holes on a drill press would be extremely difficult. Much easier to take the tool to the work piece when it's this large.
