As it is you can't give it more RAM, if anything, the system is already struggling to keep up.

uh? pressing enter, and the pressing tab twice is just for formating purposes. you should be able to write whatever you want anyway.

The files are in the Home/Zomboid folder on a Mac. And the mods are in User: > Zomboid > Mods Everything else should be the same, but I'm not sure as I never used Mac.

Adding that line of code worked really well for making the build 42 actually playable for me. Huge increase in frame rate 👏. Unfortunately there seems to be a memory leak issue with the new unstable build, it starts to get really bad after an hour or so of playing and I need to restart.

When I played B42 on release it went up to the maximum, at 19 Gb, but because I have 64Gb it was no issue for me. I haven't played B42.1.1, but maybe try to reduce the maximum value, 1 Gb at a time every time you restart, to see if it helps with the garbage collector dump.

Sen you were super close to the boot camp when you were in the train yard (one with the chimney's.) It's in the upper left of B3, slightly south, southwest of the little lake right there. Still on vaca but good luck!

Sorry, was out of town. Make a path through the qurry and head to the boot camp there are 2 garage just like at the aiport in the back. Plus there lots of good stuff there for you or to sell.

Sen, you missed some of the best loot in the game at the Naval Base, you gotta go under and hit the ton of lockers there, 2 entrances just don't fall in the water haha. No mechs makes it infinitely easy, just watch the beepers. And yeah, those razors need to be turned down, not sure if that is an update glitch or Tyrel is f'n up the settings :P

@@sen_sf I died there many times lol. The first one was I tried to parkour the sub from one side to the other and biffed it and fell in the water. Realized you can just drop your backpack and resurface >.< Then, the mechs killed me, the beepers killed me, yeah, it's intense when it's working normally.

You can't use all your RAM. You're allocating free RAM. If you're allocating more than what you have free, it creates cache files.

@Bigboy_2000 I don't think you have 12 gb of RAM. That sounds like VRAM, which is different from RAM. Check your Memory tab in the task manager to know how much RAM you have.

Your Opinion so far on all the changes? Especially the ones Retanauru spoke about and how they as a whole have changed the difficulty of the game. (He talked about the reworked Stealth/Sneaking, Combat (and the Noise it makes, including a weird one that pops at random for no discernible reason) and how Zed stats are Random by default (except sprinters, those need to be sandbox setting changed to spawn). And how Combat from day 1 is a build commitment now (Max strength and focus stats for one melee weapon to level)

I believe he was focusing on becoming strong early game and nullifying the effects of muscle strain, to become as strong as we used to be in B41 early. But I don't think that's the point. The devs is simply trying to slow the game down, as a lot of people were complaining that after a week in game they had nothing to do, as a base was created, self sustainabity achieved, and plenty of weapons to destroy whatever hordes we would come across. Muscle strain is now bareable after the nerf, and I definetely have not focused on strength on my last build, allthough in the 4th take I did, and it was somewhat easier, but not like B41.

The main quirk B42 has brought tbh is that the new items that can be spawned in loot containers seem to have impacted heavily on the Loot avaibility. Funny that what is making Loot a lot less reliable has been having MORE loot added to the available pool.

Another tip is look out for church towers if you come across any... you might find compound bows if lucky.

For melee weapons, just look for these, cleaver, Baseball bat with nails, bushman knife...and don't use stamina draining weapons. Also look for better bow and arrows at the b2 castle.

Okay I don’t know why this is my main concern but I’m at hour three rn. I can’t stop thinking about the cats I’m hoping they came with. Also your great at story telling I have adhd and I massively struggle with being able to focus on something for long but so far I have not taken a break from watching the video I’m so invested. I really hope you make more videos like this especially on project zomboid (there isn’t enough content on this wonderful game). Also this is so incredibly underrated. You’re growing pretty fast but not fast enough for how much effort you put into your videos. Keep up the good work my guy you’re incredibly awesome.

I think it was luck, sometimes it doesn't do any damage, and sometimes it does. Unless you're talking about the big one at the end. That one you need to be inside somewhere to avoid the damage.

@@sen_sf at the beginning of Day one i found a hotwired SUV, and i used it to avoid the majority of the scenario. if the hostiles don't have guns you have a shot of getting away. I got stunlocked by a major bandit raid twice, and being only one person usually on the outskirts, i figured it was my best chance. it worked just barely, and then the hit came down, and im injured 4 times on upper body, with a burn on each hand, scrambling for survival.
