My uncle and his wife manned this lighthouse in the 70s and 80s. (When they arrived there from another lighthouse up at Cape Levique in the north west) the lamp had to be lit every evening, then it became automated and he was very sad as it gave every day a challenge due to the changeable weather and having to brave the climb to the top. We visited every few weeks and stayed in one of the amazing houses for the night. Played cricket then drive home to Bunbury. It has all changed so much.
