My old man raced there once, in a Humber Super Snipe, a huge tank of a car!! He was disqualified, because his throttle jammed on after taking a few hits, then went on to exact revenge on the rest of the field!! 🤣 Never mind! It was a fantastic day out!! 🤣

My mother always liked Mothers day cards , she used to remind me about it at Christmas. And she consistently used to remind me of what a pain I was and still am.

I sent Mum flowers from Uni for Mothering Sunday the first year I was away from home. She scolded me - being appreciated the rest of the year was all she wanted. So I stopped sending her flowers. 20 years later I found out my brother and sister had been sending her flowers all the time. I was furious. Mum was soooo entertained, I can hear her laughter now. Love.

Back when you actually got value for your TV license, rather than paying for something you don't use: like some south American cartel protection racket meets 1984 distopian neo Marxist programme for vaporising your existence.

I grew up no too far from Brands Hatch, the first time I ever went there was with one of my friends family who had some free tickets. We went a couple of times, but I think that they stopped these events because the track being damaged by cars loosing tyres and running on their rims. There was decent crowds as I remember.

Dear Des I would like to complain in no uncertain terms about the fact that your picture shows that lovely Jeremy Hawks when in fact the audio recording features the appalling Tony Hardy. Please rectify this immediately or I shall be forced to eat some Marmite. Yours Mrs Trellis North Wales
