It's pretty sad that they can spend 30 to 50 dollars or more on food but then they can't afford to tip the delivery driver. If they can't tip the driver then they should go and pick the food up themselves. Sorry but us DoorDash drivers are not a charity. We use our own vehicles, our own gas and the wear and tear on out vehicles to deliver your orders. The other thing that sucks is if we decline these no tip orders it affects our AR rating. Sorry but I am not wasting my gas for no tip. I had had times where the people handed me a cash tip when I got there but there is no absolute guarantee that that will happen especially if its a leave at door order and not a hand it to me order.

I think the real question you should be asking is why are you reliant on tips, and why is the restaurant or app not paying you decently. The whole tipping culture has been abused in most US states, and it is disgusting as it has created a divide and helped businesses make more money at the expense of drivers (and waiting staff). Here in the UK we pay a delivery fee mostly based on how far away we are, and that 100% goes to the driver. A good chunk of delivery drivers in one night can potentially make £200+ with no tips. Average I would say £140ish a night.

American's are so invested into tipping, they ignore the business they deliver for is shafting customers and it's delivery/waiting staff. I find the guy shitting on the customer like this, means he is a bit of a loser in real life, he is telling people on low income to make Ramen etc yet his phone is in bad shape, can he not afford to fix the screen?

Lmao make better life decisions, says the Door Dash driver 😂 I work in the oilfield work 2 weeks on 2weeks off, one of the few professions where you get to work half the year and still make more than most people make in 2 years, get the best insurance and health coverage, amazing retirement, lol nah I’m already making better life decisions, and I’m still not tipping lmao, you chose to be a DoorDash driver, stop complaining about your job 😂 lol I don’t ever tip, and proud of it! I didn’t make you be a DoorDash driver, I didn’t make you be a waiter, I didn’t make you bee a bartender, so stop complaining when you don’t get tipped because of the job YOU chose, especially when tipping is just an American thing! Here’s extra money for “doing your job” lol, you tip your cashier at a grocery store for bagging your stuff? You tip your mechanic for fixing your car? You tip your delivery/mail man for bringing you your mail? Nope, cuz they are already getting paid to do their job, so damn sure ain’t tipping DoorDashers to do their job, when they still get paid from DoorDash

DoorDash drivers are the biggest cry baby losers on this planet….. always bitching wether they get tipped or not 🤡🤡🤡 too broke and lazy to get an actual good paying job so they’d rather make borderline minimum wage on door dash and complain their broke while also complaining people who didn’t tip are broke. Broke people calling broke people broke😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I always thought a tip was given to somebody who provided you good service. Do you tip a waitress when you go in a restaurant before she takes your order just because she's your waitress what if you do that and you get roused in service. If DoorDash driversAre as bad as you claim there are. Why would you want to give them a good tip. I do think if they give you good service and things are right they should get a very good tip I use DoorDash every time I want to order food I have never had a problem with any of the drivers and I give them good tips but I don't give them the tip before I get the food with the exception is if I'm not in the house or something and I have them leave it at the door I may have them put it on the app but for the most part I'm meeting at the door and give him an extra 5 bucks or so and same thing with Domino's or any of the other ones I'm not gonna tip them before they provide the service that's not a tip

Uber rideshare is the worst for me. I can’t do rides with ppl anymore even with heavy surge. I just do Amazon flex. I’m in Philly, it’s been surging all night bc of the Super Bowl madness and I couldn’t even force myself to do one ride lol. I can’t stand rideshare customers.

1. Create a list of your best/favorite costomers 2. Download/purchase a customizable food delivery app. (they exist) 3. Make flyers and solicit your customers 4. Charge less fees than Doordash 5. Or just give your number to your best customers and they can call/text their order to you. TAKE CONTROL Results Kill Excuses

Listen, he’s right. We don’t work for these companies. They don’t provide you a car, they don’t fix your car. They don’t replace your wheels. None of that. I drove 10,000+ miles and only made 9000$. Had to put in maybe 2000$ or more into fixing my car. Don’t take low paying orders. It’s not worth it. Luckily I do spark now and I hardly drive much and make way more money.

I worked the tail end of the Professional Football Contest after watching someone from the Eagles of Philidelphia kick an oblong ball made of pigskin through a gaint H. I quit watching. I knew the game was over when Philly just Bulldozed the Chiefs into the end zone. I made the KC Chiefs lose with my DraftKings bets. Put a big Joe Biden "I Did That!" sticker next to me. Sorry for your loss. So... the customer's were not the problem tonight. I was part of the problem for not going out earlier and dicking around with bets on the stupid game. I like to gamble sometimes, just 24 hours ago, I made $200 in an hour with one of those "Social Casinos". Mabye sports betting is not for me. I didn't lose a lot, I made small bets. This bigger problem is what America voted for. Oh, yeah... Let America, "The Country" be run like a "Corporation". It's not looking good. Corporations have shareholders. They have to pay them out. I'm not slamming the delivery companies, I'm slamming the legacy corporations that were here before Doordash, GrubHub and Instacart. Take Pizza Hut for example, my first order of the night. I pull up and see a packed parking lot. But wait a second, this Pizza Hut location is to small to hold all these people. I pull up, just a wall of people in there. The phones are ringing constantly and the manager is going to fire anyone on the spot for answering a phone. OK... Yum! Brands, owns Pizza Hut, they knew the SuperBowl was that day. They scheduled the minimal staff to run the store. There was a ton of DoorDash drivers in there and angry customers. It all worked out. The last order of the night was the best. I really did not want to take an order from Seven Hills Meijer to Downtown Cleveland, but it was $20 for 1 item. I accepted, of course the item was sold out. I found something the customer agreed with and I got a nice cash tip.

I couldn't agree more. I've never worked door dash but I've worked a lot in the service industry and door dash is very similar, if anything is even more dependant on tips because you are doing all the effort and traveling to get somebody their meal. Like you said, if somebody actually doesn't have much money then they shouldn't be ordering door dash, BUT if they will, then that doesn't mean they get to stiff the driver because they want to save a few bucks. Tipping comes with the service as a default, if you "can't afford to tip" then you don't order with them and you get food a different way. I honestly think there should be a mandatory minimum tip included on all orders (maybe 15%) and if customers want to leave more they should have percentage options. They do that a lot even with food delivery here in Canada. If I order a pizza, on the machine when paying with a card it gives you options of leaving like 15%, 20% or 25% tip or you have the option to put in a custom amount.

Grown man , crying on the internet because the world doesn’t revolve around the way they want to. Tipping isn’t mandatory, from the looks of it your old self is on the way out and are miserable which is why you want handouts. Shoulda spent more time doing something beneficial with your life so you dont rely on doordash tips 😂😂😅
