I love these kinds of pieces, they are amazing for practising deep work. The subtle movements of the pads and the rain keeps you grounded and focused. Also I've seen a lot of rainy ambient scenes and never one as wet and realistic looking as this one! Amazing work!

@StarbaseAmbient Thanks so much for the words of support! I was nervous to use that image because it's very different from most ambient stuff that I'm aware of. But I drew inspiration for this song from some old 16/32-bit games. So the image worked for me.

It's always good to try something different, especially on YT and I think in this case it has most certainly paid off, the thumbnail really caught my eye and effects and movement really make this come alive!

This song stands out with its depth and spaciousness. Although it's not the most original, I think you will really enjoy it. It has a wide soundstage with rain sounds up front, and all the other parts fit in just right. It has a very consistent volume for listening in the background or meditation. And fantastic atmosphere and texture for focus or analytical listening.

@@FarstarStudio A curious thing - this deeply-calming tone-poem flowed well for me when volume was turned up a little and also when I turned it down a little (to speak on the phone.) With volume low, the music is still there in mind...and when the volume is increased, the deep groaning sound comes forward. That's when I really think of Gregorian chant:)
