These new machines are man made so they’re going to break, & because of the complexity a farmer can’t fix them.

What's the maximum power of both tractors
@beaviccoon470Ай бұрын
For the case quadtrac 715 the rated hp is 715hp but can boost up to 778hp and the torque I think is set at 3255nm . The John Deere 9rx 710 is 710 hp rated power and the boosted power is 781hp and torque is 3622nm. So power is quite similar but the John Deere has quite a bit more torque.
@johnmchardy4502Ай бұрын
Is there a 900 horse power boost option for the John Deere
@beaviccoon470Ай бұрын
@@johnmchardy4502 ye the John Deere 9rx 830 has 830 rated hp but can boost up to 913hp and it has 4234nm of torque which is more torque than the big bud 747.
@johnmchardy4502Ай бұрын
Wonder how the transmission and the rubber tracks will last with that amount of power
@beaviccoon470Ай бұрын
@@johnmchardy4502 ye I mean it does look a lot beefier than the 9rx 640 and it's got an e21 transmission which is specific to the 9rx 710, 770 and 830 tractors so id imagine that it'll be ok but only time will tell.

Not practical when you have fields 10+ miles away from home farm. It’s not worth the time to drive it back every night to charge. Also, sometimes weather makes our windows tight and need to run 24/7. Electric doesn’t allow for farmers to do that.

How much for a new battery? I'm willing to bet it's more economical to buy a new machine. Fact: Batteries drain quicker when under load Fact: Batteries take hours, not minutes, to recharge Fact: Batteries have only so many charge discharge cycles before they need to be replaced Fact: If there's a power outage, the batteries don't charge Fact: Field work needs to be completed quickly as crops need months to grow - Farms don't have time to wait on batteries to charge Fact: Diesel has become cleaner over the years Fact: Diesel fuel tanks can be refilled in minutes Fact: Diesel produces more power Fact: There is no limit to how many times you can refill a diesel fuel tank Fact: Most farmers have a manual pump handy to fill their tanks should the power grid fail

My family has a farm. I think GPS and technology are pretty great, i accept that someday there are gonna be tractors that dont run on diesel. What i cant do is spend all day in a tractor and not need to get out and fuss with something with the implement. Somethimg caught in the sweeps. Residue building up in the implement. A dead ash tree fallen from the bushline into the field. Even when i dont get out but need to drag out heavy residue on the field and spread it, circling back and dropping in again or lift up over a monster rock thats breaking the surface....no robot will do that. It will send me a message that theres a problem after it drags up a pile of cornstalks the size of a volkswagen pulling it up and down the field till it cant move. Itll rut up the field with that coulter that jammed up because no one is watching and im gonna have to go tend to it anyway.

sou d idea. but the gift wants large farms to use them too bad they can't support the long hours and large equipment that those large farms need to use to get the job done. electric is only practical for small and medium size farms, which can't support the ost of the electric tractor in the first place.😂

Hi Quintin, how many trees / hour do you prune with other means?
@farmingforthefuture50158 ай бұрын
Hi David, with human labour we prune about 30 - 50 trees. This machine prunes 100 trees a day and it's only one labour which is not the case with human labour. We need about 3 - 4 men to match that.
