its borderline bestiality. your pet (dog) is not your boyfriend, not your man and not "man of the house". a man's like or dislike of your pet (dog) is not a determining factor as to whether you should or shouldn't have a relationship with him. a man's like or dislike of your pet animal isnt a determining factor as to his qualities for a relationship. but that has been the retardation among women. the "must like dogs" phrase in an ad for a room for rent is actually being used by women as a determining factor for a relationship & marriage. what crazy stupidity men run into.

I will not date a woman that smokes or has dogs those are the two monumental red flags
@Vision33r2 ай бұрын
It's not because of dogs. It's because women that lack self discipline and courage. Believe it or not, almost all the single women that I've dated that had dogs. Had the few things in common, they are usually sheltered. They have some form of anxiety and does not like to be around groups of people. Almost all of them do not have a good father or male role model in their life. Their mothers overprotected them. So they turn to dogs for emotional support. They believe men are scary and difficult to deal with because men are demanding on them. Women like to be very laid back and not be pressured too much. Almost every single women with a dog can't handle pressure. That's why they are usually childless. If they have children and a dog, they are very good providers they know how to manage their children and dogs. But the single ones are terrible with managing their life and hectic schedules.

I never understood why philosophers make this distinction in terms of intentions. I'd think a person seriously concerned with trying to bring about positive outcomes would start with their intentions, since there's no easier and reliable way to produce negative outcomes than to act with malevolent intent. It requires the least nuanced understanding of a particular situation to see that negative intentions generally bring about negative results. So factoring in each other's intentions -- from my perspective -- is the first step to thinking like a careful consequentialist, trying to make decisions in a way that maximize their odds of having a positive expected value. The problem to me is that simply acting with good intentions doesn't suffice to produce positive outcomes. The road to hell is often paved with good intentions, as with the example of communism as you mentioned which is more an ideology built independent of careful analyses of consequences than a consequentialist framework based on empiricism as with the case of capitalism as observed and formulated by Adam Smith whos imply observed, empirically, that free trade consistently appears to produce the best results. I simply see no way to arrive at moral ideas without looking at consequences. Take drunk driving as an example. Suppose we even reset society so that we aren't dealing with established laws yet that forbid drunk driving. If we factor in intentions, many drunk drivers may not have malevolent intentions whatsoever, but still cause tremendous harm. It is only by observing the horrible consequences of drunk driving that I see a way to arrive at that as being unethical and irresponsible.

This is a dilemma? What's the lose/lose here? Also, God does ask us to talk to him (prayer). Most of the time, what you're asking for are not "stupid little desires," and if you are, then you aren't going to get the answer you want.

5th house is enjoyment, entertainment and entrepreneurship too. I think jt lends to the saying if you enjoy what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. Businesses and companies and creative projects are many peoples children. 6th house is a result of whats created in the 5th. Needing to take care of ourselves. Daily duties from what we created in the 5th. Businesses or children. Or wrecked out bodies from enjoyment.

Wait. So if a criminal loads a gun, aims it at a person, and pulls the trigger, you’re saying the criminal didn’t cause the firearm to discharge? That’s causation. Now if that bullet strikes a victim, the harm to the victim is caused by the bullet. Thats causation. Now you can make the argument that the relationship between the criminals action and the actual harm is indirect but there were definitely causalities involved in the process
@overthoughtandunderstated4 ай бұрын
Correct, not causation.

Is this not just a repackaging of Hume's critique of inductive reasoning and the problem with identifying identity over time? Also (this is based on a very limited understanding of the philosophy of science and no idea of the paper you were citing), would causality in a scientific definition not already imply a probabilistic and predictive nature (without 100% certainty nor guarantee) from inductive inference?
