I related to your dog story. One time I was bike packing, and I was trying to traverse the western half of Minnesota in a notable headwind. So notable that I could only go like 3 mph, and these dogs from the farms would come chase me.

What kind of gaiters were you using? It’s hard to find some that fit vivos.

I've got you over 6 easily if you add the phone in and a cook kit. Not trying to be a dick however people understate their base weight quite often on KZbin.

Was the ultra-lite 2 two-ply or just one Have you tried the frog toggs xtreme lite jacket? It is 2 ply and should be harder to rip. It's different from the ultra-lite which is just one layer (as far as I can tell).

Hi Waldo! I don't know if you're still around on KZbin but I wanted to thank you for your videos. I'm a hiker at heart but I'm disabled and I can't travel or hike the beautiful places I want to see, and your videos make me feel like I'm there. Thank you so much for bringing me along on your CDT hike. Full compliment: you're a beast with no fear and I loved watching your journey.

Toaster house is a house with restroom and shower. You have washer for clothes. bunk beds, kitchen, etc. The town is small with restaurants. Down the road a couple of miles is a good grocery store.

Man, what's bad about this? Easy smeasy. Wonder why people had to be "rescued"? Good choice for you. It's fun to explore and find your own way. Enjoyed your video as always. Thanks. PS-I've read of others dropping down into that valley and do the same thing. Great minds think alike, ha, ha.

If you follow down stony pass you’ll see the rio grande reservoir. Just above the lake, their are 5-10 BLM permitted cabins built 1950s. Lucky enough to have spent a lot of time at one of those cabins since the early 70s.

Has anyone outside of the UK had any experience repairing these boots (or Vivo in general)? I read on their website that you can’t send them in to get a new sole put on if you live outside of the UK. I wrote to the company asking if they sell the sole separately but I’m waiting for a response.

I do not care for Z-Craps anything. So far never worth the money. Excellent - had to subscribe. BTW, I wish I had bought any Pa' Lante pack instead of my Nero -- that was money flushed down the crapper.
