@@EBG... Look up Santa Clara 1979. One of the most iconic lines in D.C.I. history playing matched grip for the entire show. I know that was a long time ago, but it just shows you what can be achieved regardless of the grip.

@@DennisJohnsonDrummer oh no, im not saying its bad by any means. Im a believer that playing matched makes translation across instruments waaaaay easier. And its evident in that SCV show and even this video, that when done right it works just as good and in some cases maybe better. Also it doesn't hurt anything performance wise, but i just personally like the look of traditional grip. It just looks and feels "cooler".
