@ I've been playing exclusively Forgotten Realms since it came out. There are no 'vampire brides' in most of FR, they're exclusively from Ravenloft. You become a normal spawn. AA even repeats Cazador's rules at the epilogue and if you try to break up with AA, he tells you that your future is HIS to control from now on.

@@avashnea If you play FR then you realize Ravenloft is part of FR and began in 2009 when Strahd was introduced, as noted in the video, along with the source materials. You do you fam in what you like to believe, but sources are sources, not head cannon <3

There is nothing even remotely fun about ascending Astarion. Also, Astarion lovers never ascend him because it totally destroys the character.

@@avashnea It's a game and it depends on what out come you want for you game play nothing more. I have Ascended him to save Karlach in his origin. See this is the issue it's a game. There is no wrong way to play because it's up to the person playing. There is no blanket statement for a game. Everyone can play how they want I have done both in game plays. To fight with ourselves about who loves or does not love Astarion is just silly. The best part of bg3 is the choices and out comes. I love Astarion and yes I have left him a spawn and Ascened him. When I played His orgin and romanced Karlach, I ascened him. Astarion was not about to leave her to explode and die. But that was my game and that's okay. Just like how others play is okay too. Definitely, when you compare him to Sebastian in the dungeon he says he doesn't want to be like the other spawn, that he isn't weak & shouldn't be like them. He really wants to convince himself.

@@kiterafrey Ah okay, that makes sense. I've had the game for a few weeks and I'm obsessed. Idk if Astarion is my fave as a person, but I def think his story is the most complex and well written. I'm still trying to figure him out. On my romance run with him, I didn't want to spoil too much so just did the Cazador part based on what I think my character would say and it DID NOT GO WELL. He turned on me and said "I hope you die screaming" and my heart shattered into a million pieces, I was like traumatized. I went back and fixed it but I honestly had to take a break from that run for a while. He's so easy to get super invested in lol. Anyway this vid was super helpful for my next run!

He has a few places were he'll breakup with you if you don't support or help him, and every time it's heartbreaking. He knows just the right words to say to destroy my heart 😭

Understatement of the year, he broke up with me in the Shadowheart Approvals Only run it was brutal. If he dumps you in Act 3 because you missed a scene in Act 2 it is so ruthless. Just watching a mutual get it made me want to cry. Like he knows just want to say to ruin someone.

It is a process. It was my first challenge video. It requires you to stack required cut scenes. Some cut scenes are coded to take priority over others. Examples are Wyll coming to camp if you meet Karlach before him, Mizora coming to camp, the 1st dream visitor visit, Durge attacking Alfira. Additionally, depending on how you do your first rests, you can rest twice before he'll bite you, so long as you do both long rests prior to reaching the Grove. Makes me think of a sequence of clips in an intentional sequence, maybe an evaluation, maybe a cover to distract or deflect, like driving intelligence would have acted differently if it was not a psychopath. So I'm guessing someone has an AI with psychopath programming?
