This is why I love the Genocide route, it only shows what really happens if a real human enters the Undertale world. It's been so many years since the war, so Frisk won't know about the monster. The monster is unknown, the unknown is evil, evil must be destroyed. And on the monster's side, in just the blink of an eye, the captain of the royal guard and half of the Underground are dead, and there's nothing left but to run, and when we encounter monsters in Hotland, it's most likely that they're using themselves as bait for other monsters to run away. God, there's so much meaning in genocide route than "killing is bad and funny skeleton with blue eye" Genocide Route sounds a totally different game compared with the Pacifist/Neutral Route

I kinda began to think about this song as a two-way song between the protagonist and their professor AI they are fighting. I see it as the protag giving a hopeless but heartfelt cry to the only thing connecting them to the real professor(s) and giving their stance on the terrible consequences and delusions of them (Time unaligned, the delusions of your design; The keys of time will destroy everything) That kind of thing.

I love how L is explaining is tragic backstory, being threatening, and even having a tragic moment with Mario and Pico is just like “Cool, I don’t care”
