I heard a lot this record when I was a child, and my parents bought me a little toy trumpet that could play a few notes, and I tried to play alongside the record. I was ten years old, it was in 1968. My family, seeing me that I liked music so much (I used to play a lot a record of Bach inventions. My two favorite musicians were Bach and Herb Alpert) put me to piano lessons. I didn't learn much piano, but later, in my teens I started playing clarinet and saxophone. Now, among many other work I do, I am also a musician. This tunes by Herb Alpert bring me back very nice memories of my childhood.

Interesting song, the movie is on KZbin now. There is one version from a BlueRay disk that is very clear if you look for it. The first two minutes really draw you in... Thanks for posting this!

This song by Merilee Rush and the Turnabaouts is such a great and such a masterpiece of a song. Even the chorus parts are the best ones that makes me want to listen to them over and over again. Way to go for Merilee Rush and the Turnabouts!

John Morris was the one who actually insisted that the score should be serious and pass as a legit horror movie score. And he was right. I can't imagine slapstick comedy music in this movie..

I LOVE the addition of the harmonica instrumental. This is not in the movie version (it may be in the background later underneath dialog). This is so heartfelt!!! It really captures sad longing!

I'm a 15 year old girl, definitely not someone who found nostalgia within this song considering it's date. However; I recently developed interest into Sal Mineo after seeing Rebel Without a Cause. Anytime I become invested into an actor I obsessively watch their whole filmography (mind you, I never pick obscenely prolific actors so finding some work is harder.) Never just the tip of the iceberg. Which led me to the movie "Who Killed Teddy Bear" pretty early on. A very different film compared to the rest of his work mind you. However as I watched it I fell in love with the songs; ones just idly in the background! The next day I searched on forums to see if I could find titles or artists to no avail. Just others like me looking for it. I forget how but I eventually stumbled on this channel and I'm very glad I did! That's just my long winded way of saying thank you for finding and uploading this! I have no clue how you even managed.

These stereo mixes of Buddy Holly are just incredible! The fact that 90% of his songs were recorded without the intention of stereo and instead mono, these stereo mixes show that with the right person, it isn't impossible to mix these timeless songs by this innovative artist into stereo!
