Thank you so much, I didn't have a conair clipper but I did purchase the clipper and trimmer combo by Novah. They were both scratching my skin and it was bleeding. I tried to adjust the clipper so that it wouldn't cut, I ended up taking the head apart. And no matter how many times i tried to put it together, it would make a very loud noise, I watched your video, and fixed it, I also adjusted both so they wouldn't cut. I was about to return them, and I got them on sale and now they are regular price. Thank you bro you saved me.

@@andycivil It absolutely does! Whether positive or negative, an interaction is an interaction. Yeah many brands are built similar enough to cross-reference it seems. Even basic Amazon brands nobody has heard of will have a similar enough engineering behind them. As a novice when it comes to certain repairs such as this, it is highly frustrating and your explanations made a major difference. Thank you for this video!!! I happen to have a Wahl brand trimmer. Model MIS. The pieces are a little bit different but the overall concept of the blades being spring loaded is completely accurate. I was getting ready to throw this trimmer away and buy another one. You saved me some bucks today!

Who is the person we owe credit to for this genius design. So we know who to throw these clippers at. Another prime example of big fixing things that are not broken! Bravo to the next generation of taking tools from the past that are built to last & turning them into sh it that's not even worth the time to waste on.

I hear your frustration! But realistically, I don't see anything wrong with the design. When you consider that many models assemble the same way (you can tell that, from the comments here) it may even be the most logical design. What you could criticize though, is the lack of any reassembly instructions included in the user manual. It's almost as though they don't want you to figure it out.

I took this apart to clean and WHAM! ... the spring popped ... ok... I've been a toolmaker for 50 years... I could re-assemble... NOT !!! ... for the life of me I couldn't figure out how those 3 simple things went back together... UNTIL .. I saw this video ... Thumbs Down to the designers at CONAIR.

To be fair to "the designers at Conair" it seems from the comments that MANY clippers are constructed this way, so it seems to be a kind of standard. By the way, it took me a while to work it out, too! Everything seems wrong, until you get it.

I think this is deliberate. Look at all the comments that say something along the lines of "gee, thanks; I was about to throw it out and buy a new one".
