I'm really interested in creating my own glass pieces after getting introduced to it recently but really have no idea what I'm doing. I just recently tried bending a glass and bonding two tubes using tools that i already have, with very limited results. I've been watching KZbin videos and whole they helped, yours was the first one that kind of put my mind at ease about getting started, so thank you for that!

first question is how much money do you have to spend because you could spend a little or you could spend a lot. It all depends on how much money you want to put into it. Yes I’ve done this budget stuff but my main torch cost about $1000 not used but you can get torches for in the hundred to $150 range, but you’d have to buy tips for it or get a welding torch and start that way that usually comes with tips run about $150-$200. Glad you had some success and still excited about blowing glass. Usually somebody burns himself good enough that they don’t go very much further . first thing you gonna have to do is to get some didymum glasses so you can watch what’s going on inside the bright yellow flame sunglasses don’t cut it. I guess I’m gonna have to make a video on this so that you can get more out of it in the coming weeks and see what I can do.

@LuLibby
@LuLibby 4 ай бұрын
@@SteveEvans-M0YQQ it was an oxy acetylene torch that I just picked up on eBay that same torch now would probably cost $150 to $200 . And I just basically connected a cutting torch to the base of the regular torch instead of using the cutting tip assembly . A comparable glass blowing torch would be a national with regular tips on it and it would be in about the $120 to $15 0 range

@@frankieroberts5514 always keep the oxygen side cracked open a little bit at least when running the concentrator .
