"sony cameras are boring and they don't excite me"... Sir, is there anything in your life that makes you happy? I stumbled on this video and you just sound sooooo negative and depressed that I am not shocked that the camera is not exciting to you! I mean ever the Fuji sounded montone. AND I do not need brick in my hand lol
@ajnphotography_uk19 күн бұрын
You watch one video of mine about cameras and assume nothing in life makes me happy? That’s a big and incorrect assumption. And for the record, my Fujifilm kit makes me very happy thanks!

@@ajnphotography_uk Thank you. Please excuse me for taking advantage of your platform, but: The D Lux 8 is also of almost exact Panasonic lineage. In short: People buying any Leica D Lux should first check out the Panasonic "parent" model.

Timely vid, as I was recently pondering switching from my Fuji X-T5 to the Sony A7Cii or A7CR. But ultimately the X-T5's much-needed news firmware arrived in time to keep me 'loyal' and the camera feels perfect in my hands with great controls. The X-T5 is just lacking a bit in dynamic range / low light performance, but Fuji ISO fuzz isn't that ugly and I'm just thinking about all the amazing photos that much lower tech cameras took decades ago so it can't matter that much. I guess ergonomics and enjoyment are two of the most important attributes, at least for hobby street photos like mine.
@ajnphotography_uk25 күн бұрын
I think we all pay far too much attention to the tech in cameras. I can sometimes take just as good an image with my phone as my camera. Because it’s the story of the photo that matters, not how sharp it is. So now it’s how the camera feels and how user friendly it is that matters to me now. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I've been recently going through some of the same lens decisions. On the A7Cii I don't want a large and heavy lens, and I'm not in a position to pay GM prices. The lenses I've considered are the Sony 24-50 f2.8, Sony 20-70 f4, and this Tamron 20-40 f2.8. I settled on the Sony 20-70 f4 (still on order). Now that you've had your Tamron 20-40 almost 1/2 a year are you still happy with it? Subscribed, and congrats on 250 subscribers!
@ajnphotography_uk25 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for subscribing! I actually sold all the Sony gear not long after making this video and fully moved back to Fujifilm. Just a better fit for me. Out of all the lenses I did get, I still think the tamron was a good one, I would buy again if I ever brought Sony again.

Could you please tell me if it works the same way with the other microphone? Because I bought both but with this app only one works

Sorry I only own the Mic 2 so don’t know about any others.

it's undenyable how this camera is versatile. I notice you have the automatique cap, which protects from sucking dust while popping in and out. yet, I would tape the microphone to avoid any dust coming in the camera on the sensor. I experienced myself, and i had to have it cleaned. I totally agree: for that size and weight, it might be a micro sensor but it does the job. I printes a photo very big, still very detailed. I wish it had a stabilizer for the video. Not yet the case for the Dlux 8. When i put the camera on a tripod, video is really good for focusing and very quick response through the app. Again, super versatile. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Very pleasant,.

There was a firmware update for A7C series cameras that you needed to do with the lens on the station to fix the auto focus

I have gotten called a terrorist numerous times by security, and they used to threaten me to delete my photos "If you don't delete your photos, we will have to call the police and get them deleted under suspicion of terrorism" which is just lies, the police can't even delete your photos, unless if it's something like cp. There are numerous ways to get in. 1) Permission. It used to be that you could just ask, and they would let you in 2) Knowing the building. QD used to be part of Sovereign House, if you can get into the staff only areas of QD, it will connect up to Sovereign House. 3) Breaking a window. I have a friend who got in by climbing over some hoardings and breaking a windows (back in 2021, before they put metal sheets over all the windows). Of course, this is actually illegal, whereas the other methods are just civil trespass (so the police can't do anything)
@ajnphotography_ukАй бұрын
Thanks for the info. Some security guards do have ideas above their station and rely on you not knowing the laws. I think if they got like that with me I call their bluff! 😂
@mushroomcraftАй бұрын
@@ajnphotography_uk Often they know what they're doing is wrong. I've been assaulted, illegally searched and have had my house keys stolen by security guards. Had to call the police to get my house keys back. The police refused to acknowledge that the security guards did anything wrong, instead saying that I committed "BORDERLINE BURGLARY"! Probably around 90% of the time, the police will just side with the security guards. Makes their job easier.

Lenny Medlar owned the yard and also Silver Farm Hevingham, he used to have the pet monkey , it lived in the farmhouse. I can remember seeing it as a kid when I visited with my father. I’m pretty sure it was Lenny’s son who sadly died sadly got killed in the accident on the tractor/trailer and the power cables. I’ve spent many loads of weekends there collecting treasures from, right up until it was pretty much completely empty. It was an amazing place back in the 70s , 80s and 90s with every square inch covered in cars stacked 3 or 4 high.

It’s what’s great about living in central Florida. Well besides fantastic weather. With it being the tourist capital of the world I can take my camera anywhere and no one says anything to you. Anyways they seem to be strict about the cameras but don’t care about the graffiti.

Quite enjoyed this video. I had the A7C and felt similar to yourself, part exed it for the Fujifilm X-T4 and the 23mm 1.4, very nice. Really want an X-Pro 2 and think I will. What was your thought process behind your decision to get the X-T50. Cheers.
@ajnphotography_uk3 ай бұрын
Thanks for that. I know the X-T50 is almost seen as an entry level into the XT range, but I don’t think it is. Given it has the same sensor as the X-T5. Which I owned previously. I’m always looking for compactness and love the size of the XT50. And even with the 16-50 lens, it is so light and a joy to use.

Thanks for this useful overview. Can you please help. When I press the shutter of my D-Lux 7 more than one photo is taken. Bracketing and stacking are turned off. The longer I press the shutter the greater number of photos are taken. I can find no solution and the problem is tempting me to sell the camera. I'm probably missing something. Gratefully Gerry
@ajnphotography_uk6 ай бұрын
Sounds like you have it set on burst mode, this is when the shutter takes multiple shots when holding the shutter down. Go into Drive mode (pressing down on the 4 way control I think) and make sure this is on single shot.
