Other than Wilt Chamberlan, Pierce might be the greatest offensive scorer in Jayhawks history.

The Raptors will draft this guy. I see an OG, the same way OG got hurt and draft status dropped. Same will happen with this dude

What a career but I still feel really bad for this young man. He played for the Jayhawks for four years and due to injuries and a pandemic he never got to play in any Big 12 Tournament games, and I think four NCAA Tournament games. Games that the NCAA doesn't "officially recognize" anymore even though they're as responsible for the ineligible player playing that year as anyone else. He was going to tear teams up in the 2020 tournament. Ladies and gentlemen, the starting Center for the 2019-2020 National Champions Kansas Jayhawks.

Best NCAA championship team in the last 20 years in my opinion. Best KU team Self has ever had in my opinion. better than the 2020, 2016, and 2010 teams. But I’m torn about the 2002 team. That team was STACKED. Final 4 loss to Maryland, but it was just one of those games we were off that day and they were on…. Both had to happen. We were the better team.
@gmoney839924 күн бұрын
The Hawks were one of the highest scoring teams in the country that season so the fact he led that team in scoring with 13 ppg shows how stacked that roster was. 5 guys averaging double digits…. 7 guy’s averaging 7plus, not counting Cole Aldrich lol. 6 dudes got to the league! No NBA superstars lol, but Mario got 2 rings as the starting PG for the Heat and at least 5 of them played in the league for at least several seasons.

Man, he was a stud. Wish he stayed all four years. Would’ve been better if close to Frank Mason status at KU. Beast.

@@MrEddrool Number One team in the country at the end of the season. It counted as a year of eligibility for the players (they gave the free year the next season for basketball), which to me is the NCAA saying that they played a full season. So, if they played a full season then crown a champion based on the season that was played. Make all the hard work the players put in, all the wins, all the loses, all the upsets make them matter. And crowning a champion for that year would make all of that matter.

From being an unheralded 3 star recruit. To having his red shirt pulled part way through his freshman season and then having one of the best individual seasons in KU history his senior year. First team All-American, Big 12 POY, Big 12 tournament MVP, MOP of the Final Four, and a National Championship. And had the 2019-2020 tournament happened he might've been a two-time National Champion. Ochai is one of the all-time greats in KU history. Can't wait to see his name hanging in the rafters one day.

Kobe on that Kansas team would have been RIDICULOUS! Kobe, Paul Pierce, Raef La Frentz, Ryan Ribertson, Billy Thomas....and a nice group on the bench....that probably would've been Roy's first title....just saying...

He has a ton of potential and the NBA teams love drafting on potential. I think he has some stuff he needs to improve on, and he could definitely do that at Kansas though. Coming back one more could improve his draft stock.
