Great video, do you find the service box on a single wheel truck too narrow compared to a full width dually? Any preference/experience?

Those wrenches for your M12 die grinders seem out of place to me in with your wrench drawer. Maybe one set in the top drawer with the tools themselves, and one set where your die grinder consumables are since that's when you'll need them to swap bits out. I keep my torque wrenches in the back of my top drawer. They push that back row of sockets far enough forward that they're easier to get out.

Don't put sockets at the back if the drawer doesn't open all the way. Move the sockets forward and put a long pry bar at the back.

Nice set up. I totally agree with Mr Pine, buy the tools you need, first, then buy a bigger box. I've had the same toolbox since 1990, I'm a tractor trailer mech, I've added two carts, but they are both full as well as the main box. Spend wisely, don't go into truck debt, you'll do just fine.good luck bro on your career.

Good start man. Slowly build your set-up as far as tools and stay debt free. Then upgrade your box. I did that. Have an almost full 41" 16 drawer and 65" 14 drawer Craftsman box filled with Snap-On tools. And 100% debt free.

Nice box and you can make it more better if ya modify it like the drawers and the locks and the drawers liners instead of opening the drawers by moving the side latch remove it and but on the back of each drawer magnets heavy duty magnets so it will stay shut and you can open it in the middle and with the magnets attached to the back of the drawers it will work fine on each drawer of the box gap from the drawer and the box is one inch that will be a good modification for the box

I have the same issue with a Homak box. The drawers don't fully extend . I had my big sockets back there and they were hard to get out. So I reversed it. I put my big sockets up front and the smaller stuff toward the back. Much better for me.

Hi man great set up👍🏼 I’m looking to get the Milwaukee electric ratchet, do you ever have to grease the head?
@brycewood4109
@brycewood4109 4 жыл бұрын
Aaron Carey nope. They’re maintenance free as far as I know. I recommend the smaller compact (CP) batteries for the ratchet. I have the 3.0s which are the largest you can get in the compact size. I had the larger 4.0 and 6.0 batteries on before I got the compacts and dreaded using it. Made the tool very awkward and bulky to use. As long you use the compact batteries you’ll love it!

Oh right thanks brother! I know my snap on 14.4 electric ratchets use a grease fitting in the selection switch so I was just woundering if Milwaukee needed grease. Have you had any problems with the ratchets?

Great set up you got there. Just be careful and don't start buying everything off the tool truck. You can rack up a lot of debt that way. Even though they have nice tools, you can find good quality ones elsewhere without owing your soul to Snap-on and the like. Don't fall into the hype. Snap-on tools break too.

Nice set up it's nice to see someone not fully loaded down with tool truck brand tools and still get the job done. But I heard you mention something about having a service truck that's really the way to go in my opinion where you can go out and work on your own with no boss hovering over you.

YaBoiChad I agree. Should have my own truck within a few months. Want to make sure I’m completely comfortable with all of the equipment before I’m on site alone with a customer. I’m definitely noticing some of the cheaper tools aren’t holding up to the abuse from heavy daily use however so I will slowly be upgrading. I’ll be sure to make some more videos on what hast held up and what I don’t recommend for a career tech

Thanks and I agree. The first few years as a tech are definitely the most expensive since you’ll be spending so much on tools. But double that with the fact that you’ll be making a less amount of money your first few years. There’s no need to dig yourself a deeper hole. Once I get a service truck I’ll end up taking this box home anyways

Bryce Wood You are correct. There’s about 80% of the guys starting out in the repair industry decide to find a new occupation after the first few years. A lot of them made the mistake of getting neck deep in debt on 10-20K dollar tool boxes. Then they find out that the box is worth about 1/3rd of what they owe on it. I’ve been in the automotive repair industry for almost thirty years and I own the best boxes money can buy but I purchased them used for less than 1/2 what new 6S boxes cost. Good luck man. I hope you do really well!
