Petula is singing live. Good for her. The norm was to mouth the words to a record, like Susan does. Dusty is so awesome. No-one sang with more feeling. Also live. Marianne Faithful seems to be live.

I’m glad I lived during this period... So inspiring and unique... after we all grew up in the shadows of Two World Wars... and lived through the horrors of the war in Vietnam... and all the Wars since them until now ❤

Never lose faith hope and love... Yes these were special times... but mostly because they were our times... our generation. A percentage of the young people then ... the hippies became the entrepreneurs in today’s World. The universal theme of love and peace will never fade or vanish because they are the essential foundations of Civilisation.

Nat Cole was on the greatest and most influential pianists we've ever had. It is almost a shame he was such a great singer because he did not play as much after he started singing.

Slow and turgid first movement that goes nowhere leading to an unbearably long slow movement. The same can be said of his recording for EMI which the critics raved about. The tempo indication for the first movement is Allegro con brio. Do you hear the brio? I certainly don't.

I love this version (1964). The bass adds a lot of depth, but I keep hearing some kind of organ in the background. Anyone who can tell which type of organ?

I grew up listening to this music. Years ago, I was part of a trio of female musicians/ vocalists and these songs were so much fun to perform. Always promising to get people up and moving. I've remained loyal to Ronnie for many years. Quite unique and beautiful. All of these artists were incredibly talented and had their own distinctive sound. Thanks for sharing.

1:59 Pizzacto Five did a song for this era. I thought that Miss Makis hemline was a touch too short...no, it's as expected. Miss Maki was rocking it and the person behind the camera...well ..and the one's behind the editing lmfao Like...damn. But, I digress.

12:34 I have received so many comments about my strand of freshwater pearls. Can you blame them? That $60 strand looks good most of dresses. That's money very well spent. Buy yourself a nice strand of inexpensive fresh water pearls. Instant class, on a budget. I was standing a couple feet behind my jewelry obsessed friend and the sales lady noticed my pearls. Yes, they're a statement, and not even that big. I wouldn't mind something bigger...even if a bit mishaped you can't tell from afar. From close-up? You recognize that they're REAL. And that's cool.

I have another, smaller, strand of expensive pearls. Graded and exquisite. I'm going to learn how to knot pearls this year. I absolutely do not pay for them to be restrung. Does silk shrink if I douse my pearls? The thread stretched and it's ugly. The clasp is gone. Needs to be completely redone.
