Looks good, I think I'd start on the side with the little thin pieces to be sure I had enough silicone in the tube to cover those, so they stay put and prob dont need it as thick on the longer flat parts along the glass. Question, what happens if the airbag gets deployed?? Do you get that airbag cover piece whacking you in the face?? I'm not sure I'd put that piece on...

Thanks. Yes if our dash cover comes with an airbag cover, it is totally optional for use. It is a soft vinyl cover that is sent vs. a hard plastic cover - but again it's an option to use or not.

Will this work on a “melted” dash? I have a Lexus and the dash is soft and almost like tar on hot days. The soft touch coating has broken down.

Straight trash product!!! Ordered this in a light grey/taupe for my sons car. It arrives with the CHEAP paint bubbling and falling off before we could even begin to install it! How is this going to hold up to any kind of sunlight or weather? The paint just flakes and falls off during shipping?! Why paint a black dash gray. Cast it as a gray dash! TERRIBLE PRODUCT!! DO NOT BUY!

The airbag covers are included per customer's request and are not required but an option. Our covers are made of a soft touch vinyl, but again totally optional to use or not.

Do you mean after the dash cover install? Sometimes there are loose pieces rattling on the original dash before our cover is installed. Silicone adhesive can be applied to those original cracks to help it not to rattle. FMI please contact our Customer Care Team at 800-633-7090.

Looks like the cover overlay extends a bit over the outer edge of vent frame, so removing them might be impossible. Especially, the passenger right one needed to access the dash securing nut behind that vent. How easy is this cover material to cut as I only need to cover the dash top like a 'cap' cover. Maybe extend it 1/2" over the front top edge.

this is real nice but what about the rest?? I mean the part of this big 1 piece dash is broken from sun damage underneath also, where the screws hold it to the body inside the defrost outlet, and the little center only cover like for the 1994 has defrost area covered with new also then you've got the paoblem of broken plastic defrost divisikion pieces falling into heater box and disrupting doors that direct where air comes out, mine has a great air conditioner but won't cool the cab because almost no air comes out because the air directin doors are blocked from moving full travel because of broken plastic. This is all a good start but someone needs to make a complete replacement dash for these vehicles that GM saw clear to make the dash hard plastic that won't stand up to the sun. If anyone has the facilities to do injection molding I can build a mold and would do it for free for one of the parts after made and a small percentage of profits and I do mean small.If interested message back

Yes it is a cover and not a replacement factory dash, so you can see gaps from time to time - but much better than the original damaged dash.

That black for the demo was a little more "shiny" than normal. The ones we are sending out have that corrected.

I would say 70 to 90 degrees F with an 8 hour cure time, but it could be colder or warmer, I'd say that would be optimum.

Don't try this unless you are willing to risk the dash in your car. It is NOT as easy as it shows. There is no "give" in the new cover. If it doesn't fit PERFECTLY you will have a nightmare trying to get a good fit and it looks horrible in the areas it won't cover entirely. It is not as easy as it shows in this video. Tape doesn't stick and certainly won't hold the cover in tight position until cured. In a perfect lab environment it has to be difficult at best.

We are sorry you didn't have a positive experience with the dash cover installation. We see thousands of these installed each year with great results. One issue on tape sticking is if the dash has had protectants such as Armor All put on it, your right - the tape does not stick well. Also if there are fitment issues discovered during the dry fit, we recommend you call us so we can send out a new dash cover if needed. FMI call us at 800-633-7090.
