Fun fact: the 2008 version is a quarter step flat, so unless you tuned an instrument in a special way, the notes would sound wrong. It's not like that in this version

i like the 2008 one, however i do think that this one is better due to the lesser amount of effects added to the song. it can be hard to tell what i’m hearing at certain parts in the 2008 version IMO

at 1:09 i was listening with one ear on my headphones, and realized i only heard some quiet singing. the sound mostly comes out of the left side of the headphones here, so.. yeah.

This was released, they re-recorded in 2008 and that’s the most famous version, but this very much the released version for 3 years

There's something so...clean about this version. Maybe it's because the key is exactly E major and not pitched down slightly to have that uncanny valley feel, or the instrumentation is slightly different, or the vocal modulation being used less compared to the final, but regardless i have a blast listening to this version. Its so...smooth, for lack of a better term.

This version is slightly faster, the 2008 one was slowed down a little and pitched half a semi tone, this version has little to no vocal effects and it sounds so pure I love it

like, i get the song, but the middle part makes no sense. if the song is about time being the ruler of everything and no matter what we do to boost our egos it will all fall on time. but what does the slobbering over clovers and bird circling in for the kill mean in context to the rest of the song
