You should have checked under every shelf. Reason being, a lot of times employees at stores will hide hot items they want to come back for later - and sometimes those things - rare pokemon cards, toys maybe from decades ago -will be forgotten and nobody bothers moving the big shelves or ever cleaning under them -sometimes as a result you get treasures from the past hidden away there.

Crap like Amazon and of course kids today being more tied to ipads and cell phones than to toys is what killed this wonderful store in the U.S. - and I hate that this happened. But I DID get to go to a Toys R Us in asia this year! It wasn't quite the same as the U.S. ones in the 90s but it was nice to be in one again. I made sure I purchased something to support them.

Could be! It's was luck for sure, the next day we went back to possibly reshoot and it was locked and demolished a few weeks later

I am surprised that anything was there. I closed 3 kmarts. Everything including wiring was removed. Liquidators or scrappers took everything out. I miss tru.😊

Two have reopened, American Dream Mall in New Jersey and Mall of America in Minnesota. I live right by the one in Minnesota and it's nostalgic to go to the store but it definitely isn't the same feel. Glad they're back though!
