Gorgeous. I'm not religious but this song is so comforting when you are experiencing loss.

I am not sure if this impressive song is about experiencing loss, though I can imagine why it is comforting. It is a about an abolitionist who knows he is going to be put to death the next morning. Google John Brown.

Wow - Beautifully sung. Seriously great interpretation. I cant believe there are no comment on this! The blend is really good - no part over powering, just great musicianship and blend, floating high voices (sops and tenors) Bass is full but not overpowering and the altos for the velvety silk between the voices. Just made my evening.

Brings tears to my eyes. This is such a beautiful piece and it brings back so many memories of when my choir sang this.

This is crazy fast. My choir sang it slower, I cant decide which one is cooler though.

The monotone of the rain is beautiful, And the sudden rise and slow relapse Of the long multitudinous rain. The sun on the hills is beautiful, Or a captured sunset sea-flung, Bannered with fire and gold. A face I know is beautiful With fire and gold of sky and sea, And the peace of long warm rain.
