this video is really a nonsense , this year is a great year for tamil movies , many good filims. ...............but...............All films are not always meant to be political, films should have entertainment value. So, Malayalam films are the best so far. They produced different genres of movies this year with a high success rate.

There is no shortage of talents in Tamil cinema, and as we all know, Tamil language has such a Great legacy with its Strong rooted Literature & Great music. The only problem is with the mainstream or Big budget movies. The makers of these mainstream movies often compromise on quality for Stardom and Financial interests. The movies like leo, kanguva, Indian2 etc are examples. They want to include unrealistic fight scenes, dance, & extreme melodrama scenes to get mass appreciation... and part of the blame has to go to the audience too. I would like to request the tamil audience to support and appreciate good rooted tamil movies, like maharaja, vaazhai, lubber panth etc more than these over the top mass masala movies. Budget is not at all a criteria for quality. 'Amaran' with a bigger budget is also a very good movie. I think Malayalam industry is blessed with a better and sensible audience and thats why the film makers show courage to make good, sometimes out of the box concepts films here. Post 2020, I see a huge inclination towards good films in tamil audience perspective too and that is a great sign. Love to watch more and more good films from Tamil.. ❤from Kerala🥰🥰

For me, Malayalam cinema surpasses all others in terms of content, screenplay, and acting. While there are some exceptional Tamil movies like 'Maharaja Vaazhai' lubber pandhu and Meiyazhagan', I firmly believe that Malayalam cinema stands out for its unique content and quality.

This video is slightly misleading. Malayalam film industry has lot of limitations compared to Tamil film industry. Geographically Kerala is a small state, population is less, number of screens is less, so the money flowing will be comparatively less than Tamil Cinema. However, within the limited canvas Malayalam film industry is creating wonders. TBH we cannot compare Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Mainstream commercial Tamil cinema needa to change a lot.

Social media is always ready to club tamil movies with other big industries and classify it as just another mass-masala industry...and end up showing their "under dog" love to malayalam blindly after watching hardly 3-4 malayalam movies (thereby not showing true love to them as well)....may be thats the reward tamil cinema gets for balancing all sides

Its a misleading video to diminish the achievement made by Malayalam cinema. Malayalam cinema has always been strong in conyent compared to Tamil cinema. In this video one complain was about lack of female characters. And the movies like Attam and Ullozhukku were not highlighed enough saying that they were not popular. Bith these movies were huge success in theatre and critics. Were as thangalan was a theatrical failure and kottukali had mixed opinion. So which among those were popular. Is female character not strong in Premalu? There are lot of other Malayalam movies which had amazing female characters.

If you go through our video palette, you would realise how much we are in love with Malayalam Cinema and there is no reason to diminish its achievement whatsoever. You will find reviews and interviews on Ullozhukku on the channel along with other gems of Malayalam cinema. Having said that the quality of small budget Tamil films in this year cannot be denied and has to be celebrated as well. The way caste politics have come across on all these films cannot be ignored along with the strength of its female protagonists.

@filmkopath Tamil films always have lot of caste movie. Infact every year there are lot of caste based films favoirism castism is also released in tamil. Those are not popular outside TN. Thats it. All these caste movies come to a point of repetition and boring. What good has it done to the TN society. Still it is the south Indian state with hight casge based issues. Leaving that apart, the amount of good small to medium budgets films were also more in Malayalam cinema this year than comparsd to Tamil cinema. Even the masala movies were better in Malayalam cinema than in Tamil cinema this ysar. The success of Premalu and Avesham are examples. That is why this video is misleading when you say Tamil cinema outshine Malayalam cinema this year. Even the technical quality of smaller Malayalam films were far better compared to the tamil films released this year. I know your previous videos and your likeness for Malayalam cinema. But today's video is something that seems not logical when you say this year Tamil cinema outshine Malayalam cinema in terms of quality, considering the actual statistics of good films and hits from both the industries. I dont think even tamil film directors wont make that statement. Infact in every interviews they come and talk that they aspire to acheive the quality of small to medium budget Malayalam films. And i dont understand how you consider Maharaja (20 crore)and meiazhagan (35crore) as small budget movies? They might be small budget in tamil cinema terms. But then pls dont tag it as small budget and compare it with movies half its budget. Can Tamil industry make a movie like ARM with such scale and quality with a budget of 35 crores? Same applies to movies like Kishkindha kandam, Manjummel boys, Premalu, Level cross etc.

@@TheUniverse245bro writes one long passage to convey tamil cinema only makes caste film becuz they ONLY have caste issues😂😂 why the hell do mallus and other south jndians have caste based surnames and keep having inter caste fights as seen in news?😂😂 every one has these issues but are afraid to talk...also we make tons of love stories snd action masala every year...aren't they repetitive genres? Why only categorize "caste" stories? One can say...they want to explore different aspects of caste system in stories...but to categorize and say it's nothing shows how blind you are to every day news

@newgen1002 why surname is an issue? Most people in Kerala have surname. This surname is usually either the first name or last name of father. Only less than 10 percentage of Kerala's population has a surname same as caste. From my observation, they are not bothered if it is a caste name or not. Its just a name for us. Now, the tradition of not using caste related surname in TN is bcs of the rule made by Jayalalitha. If you are someone from TN, you would know how much is TN caste oriented. I first went to TN in 2017 after getting job. After that I realosed this truth. Even in 2017 I heared educated people working in corporates say "enga jaathikaran". Even if you are not from TN, you might have seen news about TN is the only state which had caste walls build. The incident about the village member was made to sit on floor just because of her caste. The incident where human excreta was mixed in drinking water. The high number of incidences in honor killing. Do you know that still there is a village in TN near Chennai where they follow untouchability? So dont talk about surnames. We have seen how much caste pride videos and reels became viral after the fahad fasil's role in Maamannan. We know how much fight is still happening between certain castes because of the fish cut scene in Karnan. We are aware about the thousands of caste pride videos posted by youngsters in TN (just such in youtube. There are a lot). Do you see such hundreds of caste pride videos from youngsters in Kerala? So dont comment about surname with out understanding the reality. Now coming to my long comment. It was a reply to the mentioning that he consider tamil did better bcs of the amount of caste based stories. Dont you think its an absurd statement? My comment was to his illogical statement and wrong statistics. Statistically, the number of small to medium budget films which were high in quality and hits were more in Malayalam conema this year compared to Tamil cinema. First of all there was not even a necessity to compare among different film industries. Even if u compare thwn do it logically and properly. Every month of 2024 had atleast one good quality film released in Malayalam. That did not happened in other induatries. These channels know that they have to make these kind of videos to grab subscribers from larger speaking languages. And the funny thing is categorising 20 crore budget Maharaja and 35 crore budget meiazhagan in lower budget movies.

This has been an amazing year for Indian Cinema!! I am geniunely happy that more people are actively seeking variety of such offbeat films. Malayalam cinema got its overdue national attention and Tamil cinema really surprised with its offerings🤩💖 This kind of makes me sad also as the only noteworthy offerings from Bengali cinema was Manikbabur Megh and Padatik. There is not even a comparison needed. For me Malayalam cinema had the best quality films of 2024. Only few films like Maharaja, Vaazhai was good from my opinion. Even Maharaja was not anything new except for its editing choice. Lover's story and character porgrayal is nothing new to Malayalam cinema. There have been severel such movies. For me the best script of 2024 goes to Kishkindha kandam and Level cross.

This year has been remarkable for small-budget movies, delivering delightful surprises in both the Malayalam and Tamil industries. As a North Indian, I'm thrilled to see these films gaining wider appeal and becoming accessible in my city, which wasn't as common before. One interesting takeaway from this video is the portrayal of strong female characters, many of whom have been played by Malayalam actors. It's heartening to see Malayalam talent shine in Tamil cinema, and I’m sure the Malayalam audience takes pride in their contribution to these powerful roles.

First of all excellent review. And I am just amazed with the absolute fascinating acting of both ladies. But I was wondering while watching is the film's struggle is all about beauty. Fortunately or unfortunately I worked in an industry when the industry was thrieving. And it was my amazing good fortune to work in some of the pioneering companies of this world and observed up close how young people established some of the biggest enterprises of the world. Now 20 25 years down the line those awesome companies are run by old people and the technical disruption (knowing fully well hype of AI) is all but gone. It is the same struggle to hold on to the past beauty through power knowing fully well you cannot get back a younger brain. This film success is there where I forced to think the eternal struggle between an old man's decaying brain and a youthful brain. And when a film breaks this boundary and audience thinks universally the film is indeed a successful one. I do not think this film has award buzz what it deserves but I would be delighted if the film at least gets some nominations.
