Hi Nidhi, Congratulations-you cleared all parts of CPA exam in your 1st attempt with full time job. Bravo! I wanted to know the difficulty level in pursuing CA v/s CPA. How do you find them? which one was easier for you among 2. Also want to know about value addition through these exams which one as per you has great exam pattern? Because in India they have lengthy answers & SIMS. In US they have MCQ's & SIMS. Just wanted to know your overall opinion on these. Thanks!

I think Requirement is to work under employer with active CPA license. If your employer is practicing CPA then it should count

If someone passes all CPA exam than within how many years/duration one have to obtain licence? Is there any time frame where one has to obtain licence after passing exam? Or otherwise the passing of exam becomes obsolete?

If you want to do Indian CA, you don't need to go to US . If you want to do US CPA then you would need some minimum credits which you can get only after graduation and master or any other course. You can't enroll for CPA just after 12th

Is there any particular topic you are getting wrong answers? What I did was making hand written summary and then revising it coz in book we have lot of details and it gets confusing sometimes.If there is any particular topic u are finding difficult, spend more time on it. It's normal to get answers wrong in first time revision but should not repeat mistake next time

I am not sure how many credits do Indian CMA get..you can get evaluation done and see if you meet minimum credits requirements.

I paid around Rs. 120,000 that time to get the Becker course.

Oh actually it's lot more than that. Other than Becker course, I think I had to pay around $1000 ( not sure exact amount, will have to check),for registration, exams, license etc.

Since the format of exam is completely different, exam is simulation based and MCQs which should be practiced before and you can do that when u purchase course. So it's always recommended. I will make a video on how I prepared for my CPA exams soon. Stay tuned. Thanks

I don't think you need to come US for exams. You can give exam in India only.

There was an online form available which I filled and submitted. I don't remember if I also submitted any documents through courier or everything was online. But for sure u don't need to go to university.

Hi Dinesh, there are certain minimum credits which one need to get. Generally if you have done CA and graduation, you get easily those minimum credits. But work experience is not considered for credits I believe

I think there is good scope and salary varies industry to industry. For fresher, I think starting salary should be $100k but it varies
