I absolutely love me yak, we’ve had 3 people in it. Me, me dad and me 5yo brother, all together about 180-190 kilos and we were completely fine! It’s a bit squishy for lure flicking with that many people but fine for bait! Have you ever had any problems with the oar being a bit short and completely soaking the shit outta your self? Trial and error for battery time. Probably do a timed session in a less stressful environment. Does your motor have a digital battery reading?
@gwtobin562 ай бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to put the video together and especially for the tip about putting the seat forward for the more hefty types : I've got the HD330 too (only had it out once and even then only paddling) but my battery is considerably smaller - Lithium 12.8V 25AH - while my Watersnake (54 Thrust) looks larger than yours? For a total novice, would you have any idea what approximate run time I'd have my inflatable rig with that battery? I'm old, overweight and unfit so I'm trying to avoid getting caught downstream with a flat battery 😆
@collowood2 ай бұрын
May you please show us the inflatable kayak in detail as I would like to buy one as on special for $899 now. Thank you Don
So just picked up one of these. My second drop-stitch inflatable. I got it so I could mount a watersnake .I have a 44lb one. But, I've been thinking about the seating as the included one is pretty low. I'm looking at your set up. Are you just sitting on a milk crate with a chair mounted on top of it? is it tied down in any way?
@Kyle_Barber2 ай бұрын
That seating was a quick set up lol. If you search railblaza gear hub you’ll get the idea to sit up higher. There are many more products like that gear hub to help you find what you need. If you do what I did, I attached a boat seat adjuster to hold it in place over the crate. Best to run a jockey strap either side to stabilise it. (Don’t lean back 😂)
@AGHybrid2 ай бұрын
@@Kyle_Barber thanks for the quick reply. Its given me inspiration to merge a frame seat and milk crate together with some pool noodle foam for dampening. It will be easy to stand up now. Also sitting higher will mean I wont have to shorten the 36 inch shaft of the 44lb watersnake because I am sitting high enough that the handle will be at least beneath my shoulder height instead of way above it as it was before.
@Kyle_Barber2 ай бұрын
@@AGHybridno worries. Set it up the way you feel is right for you. Let me know how it goes especially with the 44lb and what battery you’re using. I’ve weight tested 200kg already and it’s still incredibly stable. Get a tahwali electric pump if you haven’t got one. My psi meter is set 4.5 either side and 14.5 for the board.
@AGHybrid2 ай бұрын
@@Kyle_Barber Yeah I was planning on using 4.5 psi for the tubes and 14.5 for the base. Just give some room for air to expand and not stress the seams. I'm using a LiTime LiFePO4 12V 50Ah. I also have a 100 Ah but - that's a heavy boy - even for lithium and really over kill for a single days fishing an estuary.

i love my HD330. Went for it as it was on special and was amongst the few kayaks i was looking at that can handle my height(6ft10) and weight (137kg) with the possiblilities to have a motor and a battery, mods ect that wont push the max load limit. First day i got it was just on the local dam on a calm winters day. Next time with my mate along cox's river where there was logs and branches and plenty off possile points that my mind went "oh dont pop", but after the abuse i put it through, came out fine. One thing i found out while cleaning it after a few weeks of use was that the inflatable bottom can come out, which makes it better to clean and prevent mould!
