What samples would you reccommend for BSB/NSYNC/5IVE style pop beats?
@poplab_audioКүн бұрын
I haven't found any pack that did good recreations of those sounds even though some tried. Which is why I am in the middle of making a pack with all these sounds :) Most of the drums are done. Still working on the presets!

Correct but there is some processing going on which makes quite a difference: Pro Q3 -> Soothe 2 -> ValhallaSupermassive -> OTT

There is a Sound On Sound article with the mixing engineer describing how he mixed Just Dance. For a lot of the "The Fame" songs there are the original ProTools mixing sessions that leaked, although they are pretty hard to acquire. Just some thoughts to get you there :)

1:56 I bought your Tropical House Early Signature Sounds Of Kygo preset pack. I could not find the sound that you use in this chord wich preset pack does this preset includes? Thanks
@poplab_audio28 күн бұрын
You are right. I never put that patch into a pack because it was just a supporting layer for the main pluck (wood pick bass) showed before. So this patch is only available in the big TH Production Suite that comes with all the FLPs. You will have to open the FLP for Freeze to get the sound. If you are interested you can shot me DM on Instagram (@poplabaudio) and you can have it for a discounted price since you already have the preset pack.

great video again, man. have you ever thought about making the switch to ableton/cubase? i also use FL, and I am extremely comfortable with it, but obviously most of the pop producers use different DAWs, so I was wondering if the switch would be worth it.

@@poplab_audio awesome. how was it making the switch? i been thinking about doing it id love to maybe see a pro/cons video or something between the two
@poplab_audio27 күн бұрын
@@lavs8696 You gotta go all in for a while and resist the temptation to use your old DAW (obviously it's easier to do things in the DAW you already know). Learn the shortcuts and you're ready to go. Haven't looked back. Won't go back :) I find Ableton better in pretty much any way. But a lot of that comes down to your personal preferences. For some Ableton might not be the right fit.

Good remake, i think instrumental alone are kinda boring the voice really made the work here.. as every pop/edm track 🔥 Make an instrumental engaging it's way more difficoult lol

It works with simple patches like this but you didn't have to separate stems, import wavetables to get this basic kind of sound. It's literally basic synthesis. Genopatch can replicate way more complex stuff, and even if it doesn't sound like original you can get some pretty crazy patches on its own. So it's uncomparable to this.
@poplab_audioАй бұрын
I never claimed this is better than Genopatch. This is just ONE way of recreating sounds that might end up with a good result or not.
@qwertek8413Ай бұрын
id say it's not using artificial inteligence, more like just using natural inteligence by a human
@poplab_audioАй бұрын
Well it's AI technology used to separate the stems. But yes, the process later on is more done by hand than AI :)

There are a lot of parameters inside the Wave Candy Plug-In which change the UI. It also has stock presets, I think this was one of them.

Its a bit contridicting, yes the sounds shot not be exactly like the main lead, but they should have a purpose, like filling in spots to make the sound fuller. Thats the main point, they can add character or just make the sound fuller by being very similar. But they all should be weaker than the main lead
