Remember this from the end of 1985, but when i didn't go out much. This was the machine that followed Smash & Grab, by barcrest.
@kwabenakimathi23946 ай бұрын
It doesn't need to catch on the screws. The belt can be moved slightly to the right. It might be a good idea to loosen the tension by removing the spring and then line the belt up properly on he teeth of the shaft and more to the right hand side of the jockey wheel. Incidentally that jockey wheel should also be replaced with a newer white one which has a nut on the end, as the older black ones are known for coming loose and wobbling.

@s5pjv i did but gave it away about 8 years ago. Worked fine but was on the old 10p and 50p. I guess on the old £1 as well now. Wonder if I gave away something valuable. Are you a collector.

How do you change the belt? Need to get it on the other side of the fan bar near the pully
@dominotr72 жыл бұрын
Ive just come across this vid, suffered 4 belt failures in 3 years of ownership. Totally agree - poor design! On my next belt replacement - later today, I’m replacing those two screws that impact the belt with mirror dome cap screws to try and resolve this. Fingers crossed.
@mrflashbang54452 жыл бұрын
First thing I noticed when I stripped ours down was how close the belt had been to the screws. Maybe best when replacing the belt is to shift the alignment on the pulley to the right seeing as the new belts have only 6 ribs.
