People always have opinions and biased experiences that vary immensely!😱🤣 This is a co polymer made from nylon and fluorocarbon. I’ve heard wildly different things about it. I only have it in 16 # and I’ve yet to try it. The reason I bought it years ago is because it’s allegedly more manageable than pure fluorocarbon on a spinning reel but it’s almost invisible like pure fluorocarbon. I need to finally spool it up and try it. I’m gonna use line conditioner just in case. I use to think line conditioner was snake oil but it works great.

@@JohnHolliday1911 I’ve had this 17lb(actually) for years but it’s in a sealed package so it hasn’t been sitting around oxidizing. Also stored in a cool & dark place. I’m finally gonna fish it this summer. I prefer spinning reels. I don’t live in Bass country so I only have 1 baitcaster(Pflueger Supreme XT…amazing reel). I’m gonna spool it up on a 2500 size spinning reel and I’ll let you know how it goes. You have my word. I’ll take note of sensitivity, spool management, casting etc etc.

@@JohnHolliday1911I just realized that I would need a 5000 or bigger size spinning reel for this 17 pound line. I’ll just spool it on my baitcaster and let you know. Some people talk about it like it’s the greatest line EVER…/knot strength, sensitivity, nearly invisible like pure fluorocarbon etc. I’m excited to try it finally but I’m keeping my expectations really low. That mess you posted in the other video is the worse I’ve ever seen and I’m 45.😱

Damn and hour and a half video to put a nice sharp sdge on a budhet knife is a bit overkill. Id put my knife up against yours in any sharpness test and i soent maybe 20-30mins from start to finish. Amd i didnt loosen or take off any acrew, its possible to qork the knife open and closed just enough to pull it and snap it ooen. Ill stick to my Smiths diamond sharpening stone over this set uo and day.

It's not just sharpening, but getting the bevels even on each side, as well as cleaning and tuning the action, and making sure the screws are all set with LocTite. It's not about how fast I can do something, but, how happy I can make myself with the final product.

When I got mine it was semi sharp..with a quick swipes down the course side and about 6 or 7 on the fine and this knife is razor sharp. I have no doubt it'll cut through bone just fine

I should add with mine I can pull it and flick it into the locked position extremely quickly. I did add some oil and worked it back and forth between open and closed a good 15 to 25 times. Now in one swift motion it's pulled And open. I know there's higher quality S&W knives available but this is perfect for me as an edc.

This little guy was sadly far from sharp, nor was the action great when it came to me. But, you can do wonders with budget blades, and I like to show that you don't need to break the bank to get a decent edge or action.

Just bought this and then watched your video. I kind of chuckled and then put in on my reel. Casted and immediately bird nested my spool. Cleaned it up and same thing happened again. Just returned it to the store and got some different line. The line is much stiffer then any other line and taking it from the large diameter spool and putting it on a much smaller reel doesn’t work out well, it just wants to rebound to its spool size

Put spool in warm water for 10 minutes, reel in slowly while lightly pinching the line. None of these problems will occur if you do it right. If you change the method every 5 cranks, like this video shows, you will create more line twist than any single method would on its own. This video displays the worst spooling possible while blaming the line for user error.

Yep, tried that. Talked about it, I don't blame you, I can't listen to myself talk for more than 30 seconds either without it sounding like white noise. Did several videos on this line, spoke to Berkley about it, they had me mail it in for them to investigate, and they agreed it was defective.

Throw it in a tub or bucket of water and use a wet towel to pinch the line to keep it lubricated and reduce twist while reeling in. The spool will spin and untwist on it's own in the water. It's not perfect but you can't get a near perfect job without proper tools. At the end of the day, it still catches fishes. An old time trick if you're on a boat, at a bridge or dam is too release all your line into the water current without lures attached and reeling it back in to get rid of all the twist if you don't want to buy any spooling tools. It's free. You should still pinch the line as you spool it in to reduce twist. They have spooling tools such as from piscifun that will untwist the line on its own which sells thousands of units of Amazon. Otherwise pinching and the old bathtub or bucket of water is your best friend to let it free spin. Just don't let the OCD get the best out of you, go out and fish.

I really started to watch, I wanted to subscribe however all of the little movie clips was simply too much of an annoyance. I believe that you could get way more subscribers if you cut out all of this nonsense and create content with substance. I am sure that someone will think it’s cute and spend more than 5 minutes watching but If you want to be taken seriously I think that you should at least add a bit of substance between these lengthy random video clips that have nothing to do with the subject. I don’t want to be rude but if you actually want subscribers you should rethink how you approach your videos. If you can hook me in the first minute or 2 with something useful maybe you can add the occasional movie clip but this is overkill and I am sure many people would agree.

I bought one of these with both bit sets, the bit extension and a case in mid December 2022. I've tried to use the scissors 3 times and since new, mine has had what is likely the same problem. The spring bar can be moved all over the place but never does it perform a spring function. In addition the scissors blades are much too far apart to actually cut anything. I bought a Swiss Army Evolution S54 so that I can carry functional scissors for anytime I need as much. I suppose it goes to show Leatherman's level of quality control that a defective from the moment of manufacture tool can leave their plant.
