Thought it was cool to be able to run the original plate when I first heard about it but I'm going to build a 51 chevy to be a daily driver and I'm not gonna spend tens of thousands to have a mileage restriction

Here's a tip on checking if the year of manufacture historic plate with 6 or less numbers/letters is available to register without waiting weeks for an email response from DOR. Go to the Missouri online personalized plate availability page. Select any vanity plate type, it doesn't matter, put in the plate numbers/letters you want to check. The system will run those numbers/letters against all currently registered plates in Missouri, and say if it's available or not available.

In my area Marathon has Rec 90 alcohol free fuel, that's the only fuel I run in my mower, more power, less hassle. If you use rubber fuel hose rated for fuel injection, probably never have to replace again, but it costs more than reg. hose.

One of the coolest planes ever. Saw one flying at Sun and Fun decade’s ago. Never forget the sound of those radial motors. Thanks for sharing ❤

Thanks for the comment. It’s interesting to look at how technology had changed. Look at the right brothers 1903 then 26 years later people are flying around in a plane that looks like this.
@bradgotschall32593 ай бұрын
Took my daughter on that same plane for her first ever flight. My grandpa and mom flew on one at an air show in the 30’s in Ohio. So now we have 4 generations of my family who got a little ride on one. I’ve got several members of the next generation down who live near Sandusky so hopefully they’ll carry on the tradition 😊. I’ve liked the TriMotors since I first saw one as a kid, my favorite plane. It’s like flying in a tin shack only more awesomer😊

Thanks for the comment. It’s interesting to think about this plane is almost 100 years old and it still flying today.

My first ever flight was in the Tri Motor that used to (maybe still does, doubt it) fly out to the Cedar Point amusment Park. I was a kid so about the mid '60's. I guess I liked it so much, I started flying myself in '72, and am still going strong, 200 hours a year, 52 years later!
@PRH1234 ай бұрын
That's awesome. 200 hours a year is a lot for an average PPL. What do you fly?

@@PRH123 RANS S-7S, with a fuel injected Rotax, that pulls like a very strong 0-200 but sips fuel like the A-65 in my T-Craft did, slow, but who cares?!

I did not know that there was still one flying in that area! When I was a kid(I’m 66 now) , a flew on one with our Boy Scout, troop, camped on one of those islands. Tell me is it still a part of Island airlines? I think it was their mail run that we flew on! It was the only plane that I ever flew on that was smaller than a passenger jet… Pilot gave us a turn of sitting up in a copilot seat!!!What a thrill for a young kid.
