There’s no winners in a knife fight. There’s the guy who dies in the fight and then, there’s the guy who dies later in the hospital. 😂

Problem is when you are teaching, especially when you're teaching beginners, you have no time enough to train for yourself and focus on your own goals and improvements. (I totallly agree about "no secret techniques").

This will definitely get you killed. under stress and sweating with less fine motor skills and a massive adrenaline dump and likely bleeding already from fucking about and flapping your arms…. Very slippery , very easy to slip and end up with the blade imbedded deep in your body, or bleed out from inner arm/wrist/bicep cuts while trying to trap. Good technique but not for the average Joe who is not training and more than likely has never had to defend against a knife. A knife attack is brutal, terrifying, and blood pumps out of the body at an alarming rate when you have adrenaline coursing through your Dilated veins. I appreciate the art form but the reality is your already dead. Carry concealed, and practice double tapping. Stay frosty….

I see alot of good things. Yes in this demonstration platform it's unrealistic but how else are you going to clearly demonstrate the aspects of the techniques. If you set this up from the clinch using different aspects of the above video, I feel you would have even more tools to deal with a bladed assailant.

neat trick but is switching hands really necessary?, isn't blade versus blade dangerous enough?, I mean two people going full speed with blades is pretty serious, seems the risk is too great imao

Is Pekiti Tirsia Kali effective and efficient to defend against unpredictable and dirty street fights? Because on the street you have to be violent, dishonest, practical, real and brutal.
@wizeguy238818 күн бұрын
As a PTK practitioner, I would say yes it is. The flow drills should get you to react to some of that unpredictability. What you do with it afterward is up to you and how you practice. Learn the drills, get good at breaking the drills, and then get nasty and brutal with it.
