Was wondering how to get there. Now I think I know. Its on the list for next season!

you can access from 7th heaven chair down to Big Bang but keep going towards Secret Bowl. Not easy to find the entrance so you should ask someone when you are close there.

Do you get a gasoline taste in food?
@calvinkirkstone3 жыл бұрын
Gasoline leaves more soot on the pots and smells bad while burning but no smell in the food. Should clean the nozzle more often but it costs 1/10 of white gas.

Looks like he's making a lot of noise
@calvinkirkstone3 жыл бұрын
Yes noisy. Same as msr’s or primus gasoline stoves - they are all noisy but has so much power
@kurapido3 жыл бұрын
so gasoline is still good or lighter fluid?
@calvinkirkstone3 жыл бұрын
Gasoline is good but will leave lots to clean after use. White gas is the cleanest but also the most expensive
@MrSudoma5 жыл бұрын
Mine is sputtering at low and turns off after a while on low. At high its not a problem but i cant cook normal if i always have to use the high setting. I see that your stove is also acting like that. Do we need a other fuel or is it the stove itself?
@calvinkirkstone5 жыл бұрын
mr sudoma I agree with you that low heat is not consistant so simmering is not great. I also had to get a new pump and got a primus pump which fits perfect.

Nice video. Did you drive your car all the way to Myra station starting point? How long did it take to make this 80 km trip? If you can share some other tips I would appreciate. I am planing to go with my kids this spring. Thanks.

Ivan, the hard packed dirt road from Kelowna to Myra Canyon parking lot took us about 30 mins. The first 10 km or so is called the beautiful Myra Canyon with most of the survived trestles, but after that to Chute lake has not much to see and boring long so not worth the effort especially with kids. I recommend to take the first 10-12km of Myra Canyon round trip (20-24km) which takes about 3 hrs including picnic lunch. The entire trail is flat because it was railroad. Either you bring your bikes or book bike rentals (myracanyonrental.com) and they will bring bikes to the parking lot - 9-12 half a day is enough. The elevation is high so it was not too hot even in summer but lots of drinking water and treats are mandatory. Good luck.

+Calvin Lee correction to my comment above: first time i went there with my friends, i went from Myra Canyon to Chute lake round trip (80km) and took us 7-7.5 hrs. In July i went again with my family and we (rented) biked within Myra Canyon only (20-24km) for 2.5-3 hrs.

Hello. Any idea of why mine does not fit gas tanks and bottles? Could you tell me how to install it? (it just doesn't screw, and it's the same model as yours). I live in Europe, if that has something to do witht the format or the size...thanks!

+David Salvador, I think you have a different type of gas (Propane). This requires Iso-Butane gas, and it is not the same as LPG (Propane). You can buy Iso-Butane gas from hiking and skiing equipment stores.
