These tents are great but they simply can't stand up to high wind.

I always find that I have more trouble with the poles😅

I just got back from Kitty Hawk, NC. Could not use it. Poles continually crashed down. The bags didn't move. I feel I had enough weight in them. I've never gotten it to work at the beach. I have used it camping with ground screws and 4 poles.

I want this tent but idk Malibu beach is very small and I’d hate to take up so much space but then again having no one set up around you is a flex.. ughh

I was at the beach in Maui 2 days ago, wind was around 22 mph, I just couldn't keep Neso up.

BEWARE! This product doesn’t work, it’s around $89 to return, and they charge another 20% for a bogus restock fee!

Can you also use the conversion kit on a beach grande tent ?
@nesotents2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim, yes you definitely can - this will allow you to use your Grande tent off the beach! We recommend the Sidelines Grande conversion kit for the Grande Beach tent. Thanks!

Just went to the beach yesterday and found this tent to be awesome. Quick tip on the sand bags if they start moving grab some water and pour it over the bags to increase the weight.

So what if the wind is not coming in from the ocean? The poles thus have to be on the windward side but that will close off the view to the ocean
@sabrinawheeler17823 жыл бұрын
You can purchase an additional set of poles and prop up on all four corners in this situation.
@MH3GL3 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinawheeler1782 do you sell shorter anchoring chords? 13' x 13' is a lot of space to take up - especially on crowded beaches like those here in Miami (when you're not the first one to the beach). Just seems like you don't need long chords on the leeward side, you could get away with something shorter and reduce the footprint. If not, I guess there's always the sheepshank 😎

Just shorten the rope to your liking by tying an alpine butterfly knot in it

I always recommend burying the bags. I usually go at least 1-1.5 feet deep. Makes it far more stable when larger gusts come through. Absolutely love my Neso Grande Tent. Perfect for just 1 person to sprawl out or 5-6 if you have some company.
@sabrinawheeler17823 жыл бұрын
Make sure not to bury the anchor bags before you put the poles up!
@andrewpetre63524 жыл бұрын
This is it, exactly. People who complain are terrified to really get them tight and put significant weight in those bags. Downside is the grande has a HUGE footprint when you do this. Everyone at the Rockaways has the little popup shades like a 2p tent size or sport umbrellas, and I come down toting my Grande sprawling all over the whole beach... don't mind me! I just need a few more feet to get this thing anchored out.... :D

So happy with mine, i was afraid to stretch it out initially as looks like it would break. Used it 6 times now even on strong wind and held up. Apart from havind a nice shade, also with the most beautiful beach tent in the whole shore. I made a video of it as well.

What was wind speed?
@uberxeru3 жыл бұрын
@@user-om4wm6pt2u don’t know the speed in this video, but we used a grande last summer. First day it toppled. I thought I had it secured enough, but i didn’t have it stretched out enough. It’s crazy the amount of stretch in this fabric. After I got it right, it worked like a charm. I think anyone saying it doesn’t stay up is underestimating how much you should stretch it. I guess if you don’t stretch it apart far enough, it causes pockets that catch wind and that’s what causes it to fall.
