Excellent, im sure your rebuilds are very reliable. Iv found after tensioning the Barra head to 'final' torque, the centre bolts/studs require another tension down as they require up to 180 degree turn and less as following the sequence

Lift rear wheel and put in 5th gear to turn motor over. To line timing up.

Im about to make a j pipe for my barra, im going to get a new manifold and cut the t3 flange off and get a t4 welded onto it, and make a split pulse j pipe.

Not sure temp wise, but guage doesn't seem to move any more than before. It sits between 1/4 and 1/3rd

I added a digital temp gauge to get a more accurate reading. Without a turbo up the hi way I’m hitting 100c.

The tables on the FG falcon appear to be different from the ba/bf. The mult function on the fg are all set 1.00 The IAT also differ. Setting the tables exactly to the ba tables only commands -4 spark . So I’ll have to play around with it to get to -15 Cheers

Thanks for the vid - are you running a separate relay directly to the IAT sensor & switch? And back into the pcm??do you have a step by step vid on this?? Cheers

Thanks mate, yeah the button energizes a separate relay, which bypasses the AIT through a 330k ohm resister . Check out my other vid on the ba turbo, it is set up the same way and gives a bit better explanation. Cheers

The air temp sensor doesn't carry any current to speak of, just one of those brown 1/4 watt resistors works fine.

@@cars3800 hi mate Did you get a check engine light come up on the dash ?? I seemed ti have one come up not sure why - could possibly be cos I only taped the wires to the Map plug and not soldered ??? That’s said,everything works as per scanner, -40 on the air temp,but the map on the scanner is going abit crazy , 12.6-100 on the gauge…. Any help be awesome Cheers

Hi, double check that you are on the correct wires, it sounds like you might have one on ait and the other on map. Check engine light shouldn't come on. Also have a look to see if you have a map code causing the light to come on. Let us know how you go. Cheers

I guess you can use it as launch control rather than brake boosting but it's more anti lag rather than boost control. Nevertheless, well done, I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun with that button!👍

So does the noise mean turbo replacement or is it still ok?

It was still working fine, except for the noise after shutting down the engine (while the turbo was still spinning) you wouldn't notice any problem. Definitely time for replacment, I would imagine it wouldn't be long till a bad failure if left.

Yep, the same, I've done same mod on an FG zf6, I have a short clip I'll put up shortly.

Cool way to do this on HP, Thanks for the video... However this can be done on PCMTec with no wiring at all, and also can modify target fuel, wgdc, cam timing, and ignition timing on their launch map using cruise buttons (which can also be used while rolling) I know it costs more in credits to run the Custom OS but its well worth it if you wanted to use any of the other features aswell I do look forward to seeing other tips you post
