What happened to the old one
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 3 күн бұрын
The old one could not feed back to the grid. The output voltage was never designed to sense and adjust to an ever increasing (devious) grid voltage ⚡️. Therefore, it burned a circuit board (the exact module escapes me a.t.m.) inside which is about $400 to replace. I did the replacement in a previous video. The new inverter is designed for grid feedback and should sense and respond to higher voltages. I'll upload the new video showing results after installation soon.

That T1600 is a straight up MTD tractor, that why the other Craftsman is a high end model. the low end is much lower. the starter is probably not bad, looked like you didnt have a good ground with the jumper. and the rusty pulley on the bottom is dragging the deck belt but the blade brakes are keeping the blades from turning, that is making it hard to turn over the engine. I would make it run before putting any money into it. Those engine were known for compression releases going bad which would mean it needs a new cam. Good luck getting them running, rooting for you!

Hi there, new subscriber here, those fuses are usually 20 amps I think. That is a nice 3300 psi "Decal remover" I actually prefer electric pressure washers, they always start and are less likely to remove the decals. A mower with missing labels and decals doesn't look right, and some labels are helpful for new owners.

What voltage is supplied charger for the battery?
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 18 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for asking! It's a 56V nominal voltage ⚡️. Here is a link to the exact part. www.partswarehouse.com/MTD-Charger-56V-Li-650-MTD-725-17057-p/MTD-725-17057.htm?Click=365719&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA7NO7BhDsARIsADg_hIYcdCM0yARheD-7L3FcZZPJW09SR_S_3JU8AV12iO82OnKDoI_3jD4aAgSOEALw_wcB Remember if you want to charge your nominal voltage 56v battery, you will need a higher voltage than that to force electrons to flow in reverse. A faster and easier way to change the belt is to drive the mower up on two car ramps and then take the floor deck off and the belt guards off and you good to go with out drooping the deck
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 3 ай бұрын
Guess it depends on the height of the ramps because the deck needs to have no weight on it (resting on the ground) to slide the levers off the pins easily. But if that works for you great!

How did that old Sebian tractor get to where it is now and where is?
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 4 ай бұрын
Ah. Maybe I could make a video on this topic. The IMT-539, a Serbian-made tractor produced by Industrija Mašina i Traktora (IMT), arrived in the USA, including Florida, through a combination of historical events and commercial factors. 1. Yugoslav Era Exports: IMT was a major agricultural machinery producer in the former Yugoslavia and had a strong presence in Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. In the 1980s, Yugoslavia was non-aligned and had trade ties with both the Eastern and Western blocs. IMT tractors, including the 539 model, were exported globally, particularly to countries seeking reliable and affordable machinery. 2. Demand for Affordable Tractors: In the U.S., especially in states like Florida with vast agricultural lands, there was a need for smaller, rugged, and cost-effective tractors, particularly for small farms and niche agricultural uses. The IMT-539, being a versatile and affordable model, found a market in the U.S. 3. Post-Yugoslavian Trade Networks: After the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s, Serbian companies continued exporting, maintaining the trade networks built during the Yugoslav period. Serbian immigrants and businesses in the U.S. may have also played a role in bringing these tractors into the market. 4. Dealerships and Distributors: Over time, U.S. distributors and dealerships began importing the IMT-539 tractors to supply the American market. These tractors were particularly attractive to smaller farming operations that didn't need high-tech, larger, and more expensive tractors from well-established brands. In Florida, where agricultural production includes diverse crops and smaller farms, the IMT-539 could meet the demand for a simple, reliable, and low-cost tractor. Some models were likely imported via specific distributors or through niche agricultural equipment dealers who recognized the market for these types of tractors.

I would like to know your experience with the customer service. Mine was dismal at best. The lcd screen quit working on my inverter after two years. Ordered a remote screen that would not work on my inverter. Returned it to the address on the box, Joyce in customer service said they did not receive it. I sent prrof ot delivery, they said it was not their address, finally after weeks of emails she said the address was a shiping service from items shipped from China, and she was sorry I was out of luck.
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 5 ай бұрын
Wow I'm really sorry to hear that. I actually had a different experience. They have an address here in the continental US that I have sent and recieved items from. If I'm honest, it really does take a long time, but they were polite and tried their best to be fair with my customers. I've repaired inverters, batteries and MOSFETs inside the inverter units all of which needed shipping back and forth from their US location. Have you tried a US- based company?

My guess is that you have a belt that's too large. Check the exact belt number for your mower. Sometimes the newer replacement belts are designed to be slightly smaller than the original number belt. You should use the replacement belt length.
@CivilRepair

This is dangerous and I do not recommend you try this. Breaker on the dryer outlet should be 60 amps to handle the current. Usually we have 30 amp breakers in there. Consult the laws in your district and the national electrical code. I am not a professionally trained electrician. A hurricane is causing the need for emergency, temporary action.

dude in your video you are using cheap jumper cable,,,,it is too small you need welding cable for that inverter,,,with the cable that you are using you are sending the inverter into high voltage surge on the mosfet base on your load that cable can not supply the amps the inverter needs at what ever time from the dc side causing the inverter to spike,in turn blowing out the mosfet
@CivilRepair
@CivilRepair 6 ай бұрын
I have this exact cable I cut to make the cable that runs from battery bank to the inverter. www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/jumper-cables/p/duralast-battery-booster-cable-20ft/125337_0_0?cmpid=LIA:US:EN:AD:NL:1000000:BAC:19488533492&&CATARGETID=120054150001289263&CADevice=m&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwqMO0BhA8EiwAFTLgINx2RzGsrIwQbrxf4m-d0zW56izOd59F9WyiuGg32UGQOF4HsnOWoRoC1WIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds This cable is 2 guage copper multi conductor strands and produces no heat when on. The limit by my calculations should not be this cable. I'm still perplexed as to what could be the cause of the mosfet blowing twice. Also, the last burning happened at night while not even using the inverter. I believe I was charging the batteries to prepare for a tropical storm.

By the way, I have the final verdict on the old inverter. It was not grid-feedback-capable like the manufacturer claimed, so it was overpowered by the grid. I will do another video showing the difference between a true grid-tie / grid-feedback inverter to explain the issue. Cable sizing was larger than necessary for the load (DC and AC sides). Also the jumper cable is 0 guage cable and copper material. It is not cheap! Check your local Duralast brand 20 ft jumper cable size, you'll see that it is designed to handle high amperage for engine starting, which is more than enough to handle 100 amps to the inverter.
