I have a noise like this and just replaced a cracked flywheel as well. Still making the noise so now im gonna throw some tranny fluid in the engine and see if its a gummed up lifter. If thst doesnt help it come around then I'm yanking the motor out of the donor truck and getting to work.

@@skunkworks9-3 we got lucky just the flexplate. Figured if it was lifer we’d can swap with a hitter can while we were in there.

Fun project. I ordered and installed the1972 drum brake front brake hoses from Rock Auto Dorman H36686 and they look exactly what you've got in your 1974 e100. cheers Raymond
