They're great sets, but in general they're just too big. These are sets you want to display, but who has the room for that, especially if you want to display all of them.

Sets I'd like to see added to the theme (some of these you mentioned): Elves' Workshop, Claus Family Home, Reindeer Stables (for the North Pole). Department Store, Christmas Tree Farm/Stand, Town Square/Tree Lighting, Diner (for the proper village). I'd also love more shops in general and agree a cafe or place for hot chocolate and candy/chocolate shop would be great. I wouldn't mind another set with multiple buildings to (somewhat) match the scale of Holiday Main Street.

I'm mostly a Castle collector, but this video made me purchase the Alpine Lodge 10325. My household has quite a few Dept 56 Alpine Village buildings, so this was a logical fit to keep the theme going. I look forward to the podcast weekly - keep up the good work!

I've been loving your podcast on audible. I've been wondering, how would you feel about lego box art and packaging as a topic for the podcast? Like how it changed over the years?

Set exclusive GWP'S is the next evolution of Lego marketing. We get so many "normal" GWP'S that there wasn't enough of an attraction anymore. But a set exclusive GWP that's limited will definitely get people to show up and buy. Unfortunately, the Lego company jerk move is how they limit these exclusive ones. As long as the set is still available to buy during the time frame of the GWP, you should get it. But that's not the case at all. They "sell out" every time before the sets are on backorder.

My issue with gift with purcahse. I live within budgets, I could buy more Lego, but I need to be responible. A lot of Gift with Purchases feels like the smaller sets Adults want to buy. The books are my passion feels like a fun thing I would buy. Maybe they don't think it will do as well, but I feel like it gift with purchase is to cause fomo. Also, I feel like a lot of people get the gift with purchase to resell it too.

It is kind of odd... Lego is aiming for more and more adults in thier products. I don't think they would ever get rid of the kids, but how much do they go after adults? Its odd in mocs to see blood or more, like It makes sense... just odd. I think it comes down to money, skirtting things and popularity. Like Stranger Things at the time was bigger than Alien. Alien over all is bigger, but you see my point. I could see the dying scene then have a full Alien, like no chest bruster. I know too this is where you get Citizan Brick. They use offical Lego heads and do more adult thing like this. They make the most toy bongs in the usa. I like the charm and whismy of Lego. Introducing adult or heavy thigns does change that. That said, some people think Vampires are too much where others think Jason is fine. Where is the line? I don't know. This might have been another podcast. I would like more Adult Themes like Castle, Western and Pirates. There is an audience for these and would like more that the giant big $300 sets. Give us some cheap ones I can buy one day and not have to budget months for.

Let's do Monster Hunter 2. No robot bits or arms. I would love a few 20 dollar sets, a 35, 50 then like 125 and 250. Eldric horror and based off Lovecraft isn't a bad idea. Lets do three friends, so a little bit of Super natural in the mix. So like the big one is run down port and forbinned temple. Some of the mediums are monsters only aka something for Ninjago and Monkey Kid sets to fight against. I like the idea of collecting all the pages to a book. So each one has a slightly different printed pieces.

You forgot about Ghostbuster. I always love the horror ones for Lego, but there is something slightly off with them. Lego is always goofy and fun, which is the oppisite of Horror. Also, I remember looking at hidden side, thought they were cool. The app and the price turned me off. It is impossible to get most Lego you want.

I used to have the set with blue and delta in 2015 but i lost alot of their pieces so all i have left of them is blues head and on of deltas arms😅, in 2020 i got a lego movie 2 set with connor (the blue raptor) and in 2022 i got got beta and the new blue

This is great and I would love to see this get made, but I wonder if an alternative of this that could connect the rings onto the 10,000 piece Eiffel Tower set would see more interest. Especially as it seems that the rings will now become a permanent feature of the tower.

Looking forward to your episode on the Winter Village! Re: keeping the theme fresh, what other WV builds would you like to see? In your view, how should Lego prioritize between satisfying completionists and offering accessibility/appeal for newer fans? I imagine that newer fans of the theme, like me, would be excited to get some of those older buildings (whether re-released or newly designed) without paying after-market prices, though I can image why that wouldn't appeal to long-time collectors. In my opinion, the Winter Village has two unofficial sub-themes: true village/town sets along with several "North Pole" sets. I enjoy them both but can understand why some people will inevitably be disappointed every year if they strongly prefer one or the other.

Technic is older than minifigures: the first wave of Technic sets was in 1977, though the branding was “Expert Builder”. They switched to the “Technic” brand sometime in the mid-‘80s: I have three copies of _8700 Power Pack_ and one is “Expert Builder” and the other 2 are “Technic”. Bricklink seems to think that the Technic branding was introduced in 1984. Either way, Technic wasn’t particularly new in 1999-basically the same age as Town and Space and Castle, and slightly older than Pirates. Though I agree with you that it was definitely going through a moment, trying to find its place. Studless beams were only a couple years old at that point, and Technic building techniques would go through a major shift over the next ~5 years.
