Thanks for asking, I'm doing great. I'm just very busy at the moment and unfortunately don't have time for the workshop or to shoot videos. But I'm going to continue with the channel, I just don't know when yet ;-)

Hey I’m planning to use either on a table, should I put on a plastic cover or leave it to air dry?

Boiled Linseed Oil cures by reacting with Oxygen. I would not cover it until it is completely cured.

Great video thanks!! I want to replace my small classical guitar with an ebony or rosewood fretboard. Just a fun project for me. This looks doable!

alnico v sounds good very exciting but maybe too lively? think about how pure the sound of natural traditional instruments can be. effects can be added later. ceramic is more even, and a bit round

This is not how linseed oil is used to finish gun stocks.

Did you see a gun stock in this video?! It's how to apply BLO on wooden furniture.

Sorry I'm just now seeing this!! Thanks for making a video about the exact ridiculous idea that popped into my head. I saw the article for the new Ultra ll Tele. I thought the Sinister Red would look nice with a brown leather pick guard.

Nice info, but it looks very dangerous. Very easy for a newbie to screw up a fretboard.

Beautiful and much healthier than some other finishes.

Spontaneous combustion only happens if you pile up the used rags, like in a factory workshop and they insulate each other. The oil oxidises and generates small heat, which in isolation accumulates and can combust

Shouldn't you be using a sanding block with the proper radius of the fingerboard?
@FabiansTinyWorkshop22 күн бұрын
With a radius block I might provide uneven pressure and ending up removing to much material at the fretends. But if you're used to use a radius block there is nothing wrong with it. Do what ever works for you.

Does it darken the wood? Im planning to apply it on my guitar neck
@FabiansTinyWorkshopАй бұрын
Yes, it does turn the wood a little yellow and it darkens over time. If you use it on a guitar neck, be careful, it might feel a little rubbery. The oil doesn't harden like a varnish.
@johnhowellseroje4995Ай бұрын

so the ceramic fiber absorbs all the alcohol and has to completely fill the space of the can? would carbon felt do the same thing?
@FabiansTinyWorkshopАй бұрын
Yes. For example the x-boil stove uses carbon felt.
